How's your stance? Are you orthodox (right hand) or southpaw (left)? You basically want to stand at an angle to your opponent. So if your powerhand is your right, then you would have your left leg to the front and your body facing the right. This is the usual setup so that your left hand is closest to your opponent and your right hand is cocked back. Opposite for southpaw. Some people prefer everything reversed but try what you feel is most comfortable. Always keep moving, as in everything. Move your head, you hands, and your feet. Breathe. Adrenaline will take over you but you need to have something left once it passes (if you two get to that point).

Why are you getting called out? I'm more of a peacekeeper lol, so is there anyway you two can settle this differently?

I've been in plenty of street fights and most don't last long enough for cardio to matter. My advice:

Go to your local book store and reed a few books on kick boxing techniques or something. Practice your stance and basic techniques. I'm sure you already have some knowledge because you take Karate but don't try to use that to much in the fight.

What it will really come down to is your ferocity. When you see him don't circle and wait for him to come to you. Rush him. Throw every thing you have at him really REALLY quickly and beat the hell out of him before he even knows what happened.

Also make sure you don't hurt him to bad. When you can tell he's done, STOP. I've gotten tickets for fights I didn't even start. I once had a guy hit me in the back of the head and come at me swinging. I held him on the ground by his throat and only threw a few punches. The result was that I paid a two hundred and fifty dollar ticket and the costs for his stiches.

I like to throw a nice combo then grapple. Tie up and throw knees, bodyshots, or uppercuts till it goes to the ground. Then finish with GNP

Yeah. That sounds great. Get in close and give him some hard knees. Just do it quick before he can react.

The most important thing though is that you don't do it unless you have to. Fights can be serious shit. You can get hurt. Only fight this guy if there is absolutely no other option.

P.S. I would really like to hear how it turns out. I hope you don't get hurt whatever happens.

Remember, egos heal better than boddies. Your not being a whimp if you don't want to fight.

Well I prefer to take a fight straight to the ground and start pounding but thats because of my wrestling background. You just gotta do what your good at but if you have no expierance in any sort of fighting or combat sports just go nutsand run at him and hit him in the face as much as you can.

^lol

You know karate? Time to learn CA-RAZY! lol
The internet is your best friend if you want to know, so just google "boxing technique" or whatever you want to know about.

Try to let him make the moves. Its about dodging and then striking, but that might be hard without practicing. If you think he can box then get in close and bring him down.

If you can keep moving you should be ok. Keep the fists tight and strong, pull your punches, chin tucked in, arms up. If he swing either move or block. Judge his punches. If he lands a bunch right away and you think you won't be able to hang, then just clinch and bring him down and settle it there.

Good luck, hope you don't have to end up fighting.

Where abouts is this happening?
I mean is it gona be organised properly or will it just end up with all his mates teamin up on you?
Can he box?
I'd do research and watch the TV thats your best bet lol.

no offence to anyone but this thread is a joke. you cant tell someone how to win a street fight.ive been in many street fights and you have to adjust your fighting strategy during the fight when you discover your opponents strong points, not before.
