Yeah, arnika is good too. It also helps with bruises. You can buy it in the naturalpath area of most stores now.

After your workout, take a shower and let the last minute or 2 run on ice cold water. Or if you like bath's better, try the epsom salt as mentioned. Also tiger balm is a very good option to go with :]

The main cause is not lactic acid build-up. Lactic acid is a factor in the burning, "over-worked" sensation, but the main cause is microscopic tears in the muscle fiber. Best way to help with after-workout muscle pain is a good protein boost.

Buy a foam roller and use it. Contrast showers: 30 second hot / 30 second cold.

if you got like one bad bruise tiger balm and ice will make it go numb. On days its really bad, take ice baths.

epsom salt, hot water, heating pads, i got a muscle spasm on my neck today and i used all of these :P
