How to fight a guy thats taller than you?

Alright Im about 5 9 and lets say i wanna box someone thats 6 4...I heard something about that Im not supposed to throw str8 punches at a tall guy and to angle out and throw more of a looping punch...

What am i supposed to do?

dont let him work the jab, get inside and work some hooks to the body/clinch/take him down

you should be stronger than him if you're in the same weight class and that much shorter, just get in close and push him around, keep the pace high and wear 'im down

do what randy did to GG get in close work the dirty boxing clinch and if your a good ground fighter look for the takedown when you get the chance. I am a judo guy so I like to get the doubble underhooks and trip him up but the main thing is to keep good head movement and get inside his reach as soon as posible.

Try and stay close to him, throw hooks to the ribs and head from staying close dont try to box him from far away lol

If he's smart he'll fight you as a counter-striker. If he's not he'll come forward. If he's fighting with a counter-striker method you should circle out and try to close the distance with angles. From there try to stay in your power range and out of his. Body shots to the floating rib/liver take the fight out a tall, thin fighter very quickly.
