Do MMA fighters influence your techniques?

Just curious.

To all martial artists..do any MMA fighters influence your style of fighting? Supposedly Anderson Silva influencing your Muay Thai? Or Fedor influencing your Grappling Techniques?

It's a question I had.

If anything I would say they influence motivation and how you look at fighting and not too much technique IMO.

I'd say absolutely, mostly the only reason i watch fights is observe and absorb some of the tendencies of people like anderson silva and fedor. especially silva, when he fights its like some beautiful symphony of pain.

I'm going to probably be the only one to say this, as weird as it sounds, but Kendall Grove influences my style.

In many respects I am just like him. I don't weigh that much, but I have really long limbs, and arms.

I can also draw SOME inspiration from Shinya Aoki. He is very flexible (like me), and can pull off quite complex submissions.

I don't really draw much inspiration for striking, because I need to focus more on that aspect of the game, as I am mainly a grappler at heart. I've only taken MMA classes for six months, so I have plenty of time to learn.

Many guys.

Mainly Karo Parisyan when I train no gi and MMA etc.

My style is similar to Karo's(Obviously a much smaller skill level though). I would like to get Karo's Judo for MMA book. I actually find no gi Judo easier then with the gi(I am TERRIBLE at grip fighting but have good technique with throws).
