Big hands help I guess but it's not what gets the power, that comes from your whole body. Besides, just because you have heavy hands doesn't mean you will win every fight it's technique that is important.

Being a big guy I think you will have decent power even though you have small hands.

Although practice technique, hope all goes well.

Hgh can change that

Otherwise you could diet to drop down a weight class. Just look at Joe Riggs.

I'm in a pretty similar position. Small arms and chin, big most everywhere else, dropping down is what I'm trying to do.

Big hands MIGHT help, but are not essential in striking. This is not where the main power is.

If you're talking about punching, then most of the power comes from hip movement, and footwork (your stance). Long arms could also help for a reach advantage, but again, are not essential.

If your at 250 lbs, and you have spare weight to lose, then by all means lose it! If you become near enough to Light - Heavyweight, then I'd make the weight drop from Heavyweight.

Hope this helps!
