That's definately good advice. It will be better for you to train BJJ, Wrestling, Muay Thai or Boxing separately anyways. MMA is easy when you possess solid skill in many areas. The tough part is becoming a boxer, a wrestler etc. You are young and have plenty of time.
For my fights, I only do full MMA training once, maybe twice a week. The other sessions (2 or 3 a day) are in the separate discliplines or conditioning)
