I know this about something from a while ago, but i just recently caught the fight from the first round. In the Henderson-Pettis fight, (i think it was the first round) Henderson does this two hit kick. One of the commentators said it was a taekwando kick. it was like a leg kick, followed by a head kick while still in the air. any idea what its called/how to do it?
"Corazon de un Leon"
To whomever keeps deleting my sig, the size is 408x220 the rules state it must be smaller than 420x220, thus i am not breaking the rules.
no it wasnt that, though the Brazilian kick is pretty good.
the kick i was talking about is here http://www.mmabloodbath.com/2010/12/...tis-fight.html
its at 1:51 or so. looks like he kicks the pettis' left leg with his head and then does a head kick with the left

I thought about that, but every time I tried looking it up, it gave me a muay thai kick I already do, a taekwondo kick which is almost exactly like the kick at the end of the karate kid (minus the crane stance). So I dont know if its some magical switch kick that only karate practitioners know (I think Ive seen Machida do it once or twice) or if it just doesnt have a name

It's commonly called a double kick.
The key is to turn the hip less and retract the leg on the first kick as you jump and twist your hip for the second.
Isn't really practical to apply it to Muay Thai type kicks, so a fighter would have to already have an understanding of the basic TKD round kick.
