Boxing or MT

Hey guys i have been training for a while in krav maga and in the past have done Karate TKD and a little kickboxing but I am deciding to switch. I am looking at training in Boxing or MT. Which do you think I should take?

Same price and everything however i am thinking about going MT because there are more classes available for the same price.

Thanks

AF

If I were you I would go with MT just because I think it is more useful overall, just my opinion.

I prefer boxing just because I enjoyed it more, but I have done both. I think Muay Thai is much more versatile obviously. In addition to having kicks, knees, and elbows, it is very devastating in the clinch. You really don't get that with boxing since it is all illegal so they don't bother teaching you.

I would say give them both a try and see which you enjoy more.

If you're training for MMA with regard to both its more of a stylistic choice. If you're training for pure combative knowledge I would go with the MT.

If it is a "for MMA" sylistic choice, its more like:
Would you prefer to attack the legs, the body with kicks? Do you want to stay at range and pepper your opponent from the outside? Do you want to clinch and knee and elbow your opponent? Is head movement important to you?
Do you like multi-directional all around footwork? Do you want versatile quick hands?

Yes to the first 3: MT Yes to the second 3: Boxing

Looking at the vids, I think you should go with the Muay Thai. I really didn't like what I saw in the boxing vids -- hands down, under-rotating on punches, etc. The MT training looked to be of a higher caliber.

Wrestlers are better off with boxing. BJJ fighters are better off with MT. A guy who is classified as neither is better off with MT.

Thanks for all the input guys i chose MT a little while ago and love it. I like the kicks and clinch work you get out of it and that was mainly the selling point for me.

Thanks

Again
