Cross fit is intense...we probably done half of that in a regular MMA conditioning class and I was out! Check out the Spartan workout...fecking ridiculous!
Benefits of cross fits is conditioning of course and fast twitch muscles. As you said it's all about quick bursts and exploding...but keeping it up for prolonged periods of time. I don't understand how GSP goes at full gas tank for five rounds straight. He's one of the few who looks the same as he does in the first round and of course the Diaz Bros. It's the equivalent of sprinting for 25 minutes.
