And it might help to workout your back and triceps, that might make it a little easier.

Not only do you need strength but muscular endurance.
I can't really compair to what Matt did to that guy but once I was fighting my friend he was on me hitting me in the face, I picked him up in firemans carry position was threw him on the floor. He was 5'11 when I was like 5'3 back then.

I've been lifting up several spaarring partners when they are in the guard position (legs around my waist), especially lighter guys and when they have the gi on you can easily grab them. But from the triangle position it seems ever so hard. A lot of respect for Matt Huthes !

exactly he has been training that since a kid flinging up bails of hay the same way. Farming and wrestling for a long time = beast.
my dude knew a guy that was a roofer and would carry up tons of sh!t up a ladder every day and could dunk at 5'10ish....and white!!
and another guy whos dad was a landscaper or something and had to move huge rocks around all day. strong has hell in the legs with big traps just from doing that....but no chest cause he didn't work out.

some people just get strong from what they do

Mac Danzig and his bird feeder once visited the Virgin Islands. They are now The Islands.
Mac Danzig can kill two fighters with one bird feeder.
Superman owns a pair of Mac Danzig bird feeder pajamas.

Its easy WRESTLE. I lift all the time and yet every time I wrestle, I get sore in places I did not know I even had. Wrestling works different parts of the muscles and also teaches you how to use your weight better when lifting opponents.

You should aslo stretch before doing it too. Bruce Lee used to do an exercise for his abs and back called "Good Mornings" and he did them once without stretching properly and he ended up having excruciating back pains for the rest of his life so be careful.
