Well i don't know if there has been any topics made about this (but i;m sure they're has been). But i'v been trying unsuccesfully for the past week with doing a single pullup. What i;m asking is if someone could tell me how to ease my way into doing them? closegrip/wide grip etc. Is there some variation i could do of the diff type of pullups that would eventually lead me into doing a full pull up? all help is appreciated.

there is a machine that takes some weight off of them....
but if not do negatives. start at the top of the pull up and go down as slowly as you can. also do pull downs, reverse curls and curls, and bentover rows.
make sure to have a wide grip when doing the pull ups, it incoporates more back muscle into the movement

Do bent over rows and the lat pull down machine. once your able to do pull ups though, stop using the lat pull down machine. chin ups are also another thing that help a lot, which would be putting your palms towards you, not away. with pull ups your grip should be wider than shoulder but not too much.
