No gyms in the part of france I am going....
Well, I am stuck going to france for two weeks in a while, and I am thinking about stuff I can do without weights.
Obviously I know all the bodyweight stuff, finding a place to do pull ups is mandatory, one legged squats etc. and there will be mountains to run up and down. Any one got some suggestions of stuff I can do?

I agree with wacko92, if you are strong and are lifting heavy weights normally, then think of it as a cyclical rest period. If you were peaking before, now you'll be able to get past previous limits when training again.

Thats the problem, it isn't a time when I should be taking a rest period.

Rent a bicycle, and ride it up the mountain.

Push ups, sit ups. Grappling with someone is a full body workout.

Bicycles are for people too ***** to run up and down mountains with a backpack.
Nah, I know all the bodyweight exercises, I think. If anyone knows any thing out of the ordinary I would be all ears, walking up staircases on your hands etc.
I havee no-one to grapple with,I think I will make up for my lack of muay thai classes by starting fights with groups of french people and hoping they don't run away.
I can't take too weeks off......that would just not work. Even the idea of not training for two weeks makes me uncomfortable.

Mate, follow this advice, doing something that you will only do over there is daft. See Dragondoor for bodyweight excercises, 1 legged squats, press ups (on 1 leg), pull ups, then see coach sommers article on building an olympic body through body weight excercises, (it's called something like that). Problem is tho, you may get fitter, and possibly but unlikely stronger, but I would say maintenance is best when on hols.

What? I am costantly doing stuff I have never done before. If something works over there I will do it here.
I never do the same workout twice. You gotta change that shit up.
My goal has never and will never be maintenance.
