b00mknockout has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Quote:
just how strong do you need to be to do one handed pushups, i cant even do one atm.
pushup wise i can do 35 or so before im knackered, and i can bench 80kgs for one rep
has little to with it, many more factors:

bruce lee, did 2 finger push ups but could probably not bench more than 80kg

scott mendelson, 325kg raw bench press, and i bet u he cant do a single one handed push up

what worked for me when my only goal was to increase number of push ups
before i lifted weights
i didnt have a good diet
I maxed out before every major meal after breakfast.
...if you can do 100 push ups - u can some do single hand pushups.

some guys do sets/speed/weigh it/time it.. to improve it, just see what works for you.

One handed pushups are like juggling, kind of look cool but serve no real purpose. It has a lot to do with how you position yourself. I can only get two. They are pretty hard. I just do not think they are a really beneficial exercise anyway though
