Drum & Bass... the beat pattern is perfect especially for footwork when doin standup.
6 million ways to die :D

I used to like real aggressive music when trainin now i find more relaxed 80's type music is better, keeps me relaxed and more focused on doing whatever rather than just going all out and crazy.

Stone roses, smiths, and some Oasis

Anything from The Devil Wears Prada, but for me especially "The Scorpion Deathlock." Slipknot and Mudvayne pump me up pretty good too. Those are probably what you would consider metal tho.

Also check out A Day to Remember. "Heartless" is an amazing pump up song.

something to get you pumped is born of osiris-bow down
it's some hardcore but it's pretty heavy and always get me pumped

another band is ministry, they have some heavy but really upbeat songs so when i'm running always get me pumped

another that just gets me pumped is muse-knights of cydonia
watch the video and it'll explain itself
cowboys-lasers-robots-kungfu=awesomeness

If you want some real motivational and headstrong music, I suggest Hatebreed or Throwdown. I know you said you can't understand hardcore music, but these band are quite easy to understand if you just listen. Hatebreed has many great songs such as Perseverance, A Call for Blood, and I Will Be Heard, along with many others. Also checkout Throwdown's Forever, or Declare Your War. This shit gets me so fuckin pumped up! These are really the only bands I listen to during training.
