And if you're a bit out of shape, it's a good way to sprain your ankle.

That's more to do with the person doing the exercise being an idiot and either trying too much too soon or just doing the exercise incorrectly.

If you walk down stairs incorrectly it's a good way to sprain your ankle. ;]

Yeah, burpees are great and all, but I don't really like them. I need to lose some weight...

I'm pretty sure I'm not at the stage where I can do burpees.

Pushups are really hard for me, because I broke my arm last year, I can only do about three, before my arm hurts and I'm too tired, it's pathetic. I can do like 25-50 sit ups at a time though, blah. Sad thing is, it's an improvement on what I used to could do.

Yeah man, you better do some physical therapy or just slowly working up to doing burpees. They sound funny, maybe even easy. But they're dangerous if you're not at least somewhat conditioned before incorporating them in a routine.

Exactly right, because if you're not conditioned for them, you will jump up in the push up position or something, do one, and then instead of jumping back up and landing on your feet, you'll jump up, land on your feet, and listen to your ankle make a lovely tear sound. =P It reminded me of the sound of velcrow when it happened.
