Great for cardio, muscular endurance, and explosiveness. Try doing 100 burpees for time to see how good of cardio it is. Another good thing to do is try as many burpees as you can in a minute, take a 30 second break, repeat.

burpees are the nastiest exercise you can do imo. They are absolutely perfect for improving performance as wukkadb said, I do them but I really hate it, they test your mental ability to work through fatigue big time...one of the best all around exercises you can do!
