Well i have been working out off and on since I was 14/15 years old in HS. I played Football, Basketball, and Baseball 4 years in HS and 4 more years of junior college baseball, so I have worked out alot in the past. I am now 31 years old. The best I can do is 275 or so I have maxed out recently and that was my max. I usually work out with 115 when I do bench. I have a few friends that can do alot more and they wanted to see if I could do thier work out weight. These guys that I work out with are strong and I met them in the fishing series I compete in..300 is nothing for them but they are 6'+ and weigh @ 250-300 not cut just strong plus they are in thier 40's. One guy played Defensive Line for NCSU in the 80's. I also attest some of my strenght to genes, my dad and uncle and grandad were all strong as hell and never worked out a bit. I have seen my uncle take a chevy 350 block and carry it all around the shop without assistance. Thats just brut strenght.

Some of you guys are either gym rat powerlifters or fibbing. People are not stupid on here remeber that..especially Trey because he does powerlifting as a hobby.

Why? I don't understand what's wrong with working out different muscles rather than movements. What difference does it make?

I am new to weightlifting. Been working out for 2 months. I am 6'0 and weigh 170. My max is currently 215 lbs. I was going up in weight really fast but I think I am starting to plateau. :/

Geez... 190 I think I am going to break 200 this month.

I am an endurance athlete... takes us longer to build strength.

300 pounds is the most i've ever tried. I am 5'11, 188 pounds, 22 years old.

When I was 18 and in college I was 240 pounds and couldn't press 185. Needless to say a lot of hard work since then...
