Ill put up some very unimpressive numbers for all you greek gods to laugh at. I weigh in at 170 and currently am lifting like 3x8 sets of 175. I used to work out quite frequently but am just getting back in the mix of things this week after a 4 month hiatus. My highest was 230 twice and i remember being so excited, aww the good ol' days.

i can do 5 reps of 70kg (155lbs for you americans). i've not tried anything higher yet because i work out alone in my house. i failed a set of 67.5kg a couple of weeks ago and it totally shook my confidence. i try to keep it at a weight im comfortable with now because failing is pretty scary without a spotter.

I've never understood the problem here, 1rm yes, but besides that, you just roll the bar onto your hips, situp and scoot out from under it. Unless your using a bitchload of weight getting pinned under the bar shouldn't be a problem.
