Using flexibility as an advantage in fights/mma

Is anyone else like me and EXTREMELY flexible? I never knew much about MMA before but I use to wrestle with friends and I always had this weird thing with my legs and body to where I can pretty much put my foot on my head with ease, I can easily wrap my leg around someones head if they are on top of me and use it to my advantage.


What/how else can I use flexibility for training or fighting to my advantage?

It's a big advantage in grappling, especially for people with long legs or good dexterity with their legs, since it's almost like they have a second set of arms. It's also good for people that like to kick - it lets them kick from closer up, which can tend to surprise people.

It's also helpful in striking as well as grappling.

You can use your legs like a second set of arms whne setting things up and it works pretty good.

Just watch BJ Penn, he uses his flexibility incredibly well. In the last fight he had with Pulver when he pins his arms down with his legs to secure the RNC, it was a thing of beauty, I wish I could do that. If your that flexible, your a step up already.

I heartily accept the motto, "That government is best which governs least"; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically.
