bicep

i have ben working out hard for over two years and am in need of a good bicep routiene any thoughts?

Since when is this a bodybuilding forum? Biceps are of little functional value - skip the bicep workout and go do some SQUATZ.

Shut up. Biceps do have functional value in pulling. If you can't answer his question why reply with something so stupid?

Do rows, chin ups, and pull ups. While your back is growing your biceps will grow along with it proportionately.

Okay..? Because of that he has to be told "DO SQUATS!~"? Because squats are one of the four main lifts (OH Press, Bench, DL's) doesn't mean it has to be preached to a kid looking to learn about the biceps, it's completely irrelevant & off-topic.

Biceps need to be worked, yes, but definitely not to such a degree that you need a routine specifically for them. For the purposes of martial arts they'll get worked plenty as secondary muscles in other exercises that will be much better in terms of functional strength. If he wants to learn ten different kinds of curls that's fine, but asking on a MMA forum isn't the way to go about it. If he'd asked for something reasonable, like good exercises that will also work his biceps as a secondary I would've happily obliged him with the sorts of answers that others have given - chinups, rows, ect.

I replied to a stupid question with a stupid answer. If he's in a strength and power training section on a MMA forum asking about bicep routines I think it's safe to assume that he knows fairly little about strength training and functional strength. Thus, I told him to do squats, as they're the ultimate in compound lifts and will help him considerably more than endless sets of curls.
