I have been doing MMA for quite some time now, and still do not know how to get a six pack. How would i get one using an MMA workout, or what exercises should i use/how many reps? i cant do anything using weights though, so only exercises that you do without them. If anyone has seen Never Back Down, my future goal is to get a six pack, and then try to get the body Ryan McCarthey has. So if you could help with getting that too, that would be great.

Why are you basing the body you want on some gay ass actor who doesn't even fight?

Why do you want a six pack? They are utterly useless.

Why can't you use weights?

Now, the answer is that it goes
1.Diet
2.Cardio
3.Abdominal exercises

In that order. Abdominal exercises are easy to find on teh google, but what you have to focus on is eating right and doing a lot of cardio to lower your body fat.

Look, I understand that six packs are generally considered to be aesthetically pleasing but do you really think that should be a concern for you?

If you really want to having a strong looking body then be concerned about how many chin ups/pull ups you can do or how much you can squat and deadlift. Or even how much weight you carry when you do dips. THOSE exercises will give you the most complete and powerful looking body.

I see many guys who claim to do 1000s of sit ups and bench 160kgs or whatever but yet they can't do 1 rep of pull ups and are scared to squat and deadlift.

If you REALLY want a good set of abs then you can't go wrong with FRONT squats. They are a highly underrated form of squats and I actually feel they are better. It concentrates on the quadriceps more and recruits much more assitance from the abs thus making them stronger and harder. They are as good as crunches and sit ups..maybe even better. So try front squats and never do less than 10.

The lads right above, I personally wouldnt focus on abs to much, their a body trate 14 year old girls like, women like strong musculur guys. What are you hoping to gain from having them do you want to better your mma performance? if so id strengthen your core with compound exercises, if its for cosmetic reasons each to his own. But should be on a bodybuilding forum.

Icidently i found when I wanted to have really cut abs i lost strength due to losing body mass, its hard to get great abs and stay your current weight, hopefully thats some advice.
