Sandbag Training

Hi guys,

I recently made a sandbag and will start to train with it soon. I heard it's good for overall power and explosiveness.

My question is: has anyone ever trained with sandbags before? How has it worked for you?

Also, what are the best exercises you can do with a sandbag?

Thanks in advance.

Cleans, shoulders, OH press, squats, sprints while holding it, running up a hill with it, row it, throw it, etc.

wukkab actually gave some good advice

I been sandbag training for 2 months now. Very good on the forearms too

Depends on your weight, but I'd say any man 150 lbs and up should be using a 50-60 pound bag
