A bit of a situation.

Hey everyone.
Now a situation has arrisen with my training.
The only gym that is available to me is now only open on a monday and a friday meaning I can only do my weights twice a week.
Thats not the worst bit.
On the friday I also do bjj.

So the question is will I still be able to get good results with 2 days a week
and will doing the weights on the same day as bjj cause too many problems.

Remember people I have no option so i just need help to figure out a way of doing this.

Thanks all

You can do other workouts like plyometrics and such or unorthadox training methods like hitting tires or my only other suggestion might be to hit craigslist for some weights and do it at home.

When I was lifting really hard to put on size, four days a week was my MAX, with average being three. If you're working out that hard, your body needs time to recover.

If you're mixing BJJ into it, I don't think that two days per week would be that bad at all.

yeah i heard some people say that 2 is ideal for fighters but Im just so used to about 4 days a week its gonna be hard making my routine.

So this is my new schedual

Monday- weights
Tuesday- Calisthetics and plyometrics
Wednesday- bjj
Thursday- plyos
Friday weights in the morning and bjj at night
Saturday- Rest
Sunday- mma standup (every 2 weeks)

Does that look ok.
The main problem I have really is doing weights on the same day as bjj.

And are there any good 2 day split 5/5 workouts out there?

2x is fine, in fact, that's what I would suggest for someone training MMA.

Quote:
Monday- weights
Tuesday- Calisthetics and plyometrics
Wednesday- bjj
Thursday- plyos
Friday weights in the morning and bjj at night
Saturday- Rest
Sunday- mma standup (every 2 weeks)
I think you need more skill training, but it looks pretty good. As far as a 2 day split, I would do something like this:

Day One
-Powercleans 5x3
-Squats 5x5
-BORs 5x5

Day Two
-Deadlifts 5x5
-OH Press 5x5
-Weighted dips 5x5
