I'm a big believer in "Practice like you play", are there any drawbacks to training (cardio, strength, etc..) with your hand wraps on and mouth guard in? It is pretty common for me to set up stations with different types of workouts for example Bench press to sprawl drills to pull-ups to heavy bag to push-ups etc... Some people give me sh*t about wearing them but are there any reasons that I shouldn't that might effect my training?
for mma yes wrist straps/wrpas can be used. and for heavy pweor lifting use straps. however for body building purposes i wouldnt use straps at all so you can build your grip, wrist strength. if your doing heavy dead lfits, shrugs: use straps if its to your max because there is onyl so much weight your body can handle. but your not giving your grip or forearms any where to grow if your using straps for the majority of each excercise. i would advised against any straps used for anything but heavy pwoer excercises
i wear my mouth piece for everything from conditioning to striking drills and always sparring it helps with breathing control. hand wraps i wear for all drills but not usually lifting or conditioning unless im striking.
