My cardiovascular strength isn't bad, I'm 280 and run 3 miles every other day. (the above workout is 3 days a week. running is kind of my rest days. This is really very important.

the power and speed will come as you lose weight, get stronger, and learn proper technique. I was 278 (5'11)when i joined this site and started training and now im around 195, gunning for 175-180 final. So i know how it feels

extreme training is needed on cases like this. and you must have self discipline in order to accomplish the things that you desire.
