Workouts

When i was checking out the strenght stat thread and a couple others where strenght was measured i noticed alot of you guys (and teens too) had really high numbers. i just wanted to know how often you lift 'cause some of those numbers were insane.

I agree some of those stats were a little high IMO I'm sure some people padded their stats a little. Honesty is hard to come by in the gym. lol

Everyone is strong on the internet. I go to the gym 2 to 4 times a week depending on how I feel. It's hard when I have Muay Thai Monday and Wednesday, Jiu Jitsu Tues, Thursday and Sat. The last few Sundays I've been practicing jiu jitsu with a buddy on our own at our houses. It's very hard to fit in the gym, so when I do go I'm only there for 30 to 45 minutes.

I work out 5 times a week (monday through friday) but I'm not that strong (for a couple reasons). And by the way, 30 to 45 minutes is perfect for a workout (assuming you're doing something the whole time or close to the whole time) if you're not doing cardio. A lot of people think that if you're in the gym longer you'll get better results when it isn't true (in most cases).

With a proper diet, and half a year of powerlifting - the numbers on that thread seem about right.

Its not too hard to achieve strength when you train right.

Height is also relevant because if you have shorter arms it is less distance to push or pull the weight. I have long arms and legs great for kickboxing but makes it much harder to put up big numbers.

I usually work out every day 4 big sessions 3 light ones usually but with other sport and that at the moment i will have to cut down a bit...to be able to move the next day.

I only lift light weights though theres no point maxing out.
