I would laugh if it wasn't infuriatingly disrespectful. The guy uses friggin' MMA math ffs, even Ariel Helwani seems a little angry, then the other guy has the gull to say this is the biggest stage Fedor has ever fought on, I'm sorry I haven't been an MMA fan for long enough to know but wasn't Pride once the biggest org in the world, SF isn't even the biggest org in the US, I know this will have more viewers but it isn't the biggest stage Fedor has ever fought on.

actually when all is said and done if he draws kimbo like numbers, it will be one of the most watched fights in MMA history, hell, Kimbo has 2 of the top 5 most watched... so in a way, they are right, Fedor will get more exposure to casual fans then he has ever gotten.
How's he gonna draw Kimbo numbers when no casual fan knows who he is? Could happen just doesn't seem likely. I mean MMA fan wise, people that watched Pride knew MMA, a lot of the people watching StrikeForce (the casual fans) are gonna be saying stuff like "Look at these two fat guys hugging on the ground, what homo's" when Fedor takes Brett to the ground.

true, sadly Fedor doesnt have the drawing power of Kimbo, i dont think strikeforce or CBS did a great job marketing this FREE event with Fedor, Shields and Gerard on it. But will we see, i think strikeforce is expecting to do big numbers, bigger then any PPV Fedor has ever been in (i believe he has never cracked the 1mil buy mark??), i expect it to get at least a couple mil viewers, still making it his most watched fight ever.
It is sad how the best fighter in the world doesn't have the drawing power of a C-level fighter (sorry Kimbo). They marketed with a week left, what do they expect? Numbers-wise yeah it is most Fedor will ever have been watched I'll give you that, I just can't help but think the UFC would market Fedor so much better.

agreed, strikeforce should be ashamed to have 3 of the best fighers in different divisions and market this thing so horriblely and its FREE ON NATIONAL TV.... jeezus, ppl should be fired, they spent a boatload to get Fedor there and then dont promote him properly?? Another reason to swallow some pride and hit the UFC, if/when he goes there he will get the royal (emperor) treatment in terms of marketing.
Really the lack of promotion should be the biggest story of this event, a shame considering the talent they are putting out there is very high.
