Question regarding DVRing the PPV?

I have to go to a wedding Saturday night and am going to miss UFC 73. Has anybody DVRed a PPV before? I just got the DVR box a month ago and this is my first time having to DVR a PPV. I have DirecTV and when I called customer service they said I could, but the rep didn't seem to know her ass from her elbow.

Just looking for some reassurance that I am not going to flush 40$ down the toilet.

1. order the ppv ahead of time
2. bring up the channel guide and find the program
3. while on the programs name, press the record button
4. select that you want to record the selected event
5. turn tv off and thats about it

like i said, thats how it works for dish network, so hopefully it works for you

It's worth it, once you get use to using it you will fall in love. It makes recording shit easy, basically point and click, no tapes or anything is a definite plus. I would try and record a couple events before then to make sure you have it down. Ands then order with assurance that its all taken care of.

I do it all the time on bellexpressvu. For me it's called PVR.

I have UFC 64-72 and Shammy vs Baroni saved on my TV. It's suppose to let you save 75 hours worth of shows and I have about 30 hours saved and it says I have onlu 10 left.

Like CT just said, buy it ahead of time and set it to record like any other show. I love my DVR.

Good luck on recording the PPV. If it doesn't work, you could always go out with Soda Popinski and get hammered.

Cool avie
