NVidia, obviously. At least a 256-bit memory interface. That pretty much means a 7800gs or 7900gs.
But for another $35 bucks (over your $200, and including a rebate depending on where you shop), you can get an 8800 GTS. That's a pretty serious card. 320 megs, and a 320-bit memory interface. Bandwidth like crazy.
Everything you just recommended is ATI though he wanted Nvidia.
* I coulda sworn he said he wanted an nvidia graphics card no idea where I saw that now.
hehe its ok :P
well if he wants nvidia. 8600 is basicly his best pick.
before he buys it though he needs to say what chip set he has and what processor and the power supply
or the card might not even work properly
I'm getting a new computer soon, probably going to try and custom make this one, so I dont personally have the 8600gt (my comp has a piece of shit, intel grpahics accelerator 900) and I completely forgot about power supply. The one I currently have is 300 watts, i'll probably need like 700, would you say?
