Desktop or Laptop

I used to have a Dell, which was a desktop. Now I have a Sony Vaio and it's great. Built in wireless card and everything.

I use a desktop because I prefer a constant connection to the internet without the chance of dropping at any random time.

I have had a few drops using wireless. But if that happens I just run an ethernet cord across my room.

Desktop! Cheaper to build, and easier to upgrade!
Those are the only two reasons for me... other than that I harbor no hate towards the laptops.

Desktops usually, depends on the person though.

If you don't play games or aren't into video editting etc, then desktops are kind of useless except that they are cheaper.

But like william said, overall cheaper, more powerful, easier to upgrade, more customizable. So desktops for me.

Although a laptop for my classes wouldn't be too bad, but those tiny ones cost like...$1400 whereas I built my badass desktop for $800.

Gaming and video editing Desktop all the way. if you do most of your work on websites or basic stuff like spread sheets and data bases, and you move around alot then of course a Laptop.

I do basically just gaming, so my Desktop is more important to me, even though its in serious need of an upgrade.

i did also build a gaming laptop for when were slow at work, or im away from the house (im posting on it now from work, played WoW for a while earlier :thumb02:) it does well in gaming, I can play HL2, TF2, AoC, and WoW with everything turned up high, and get around 30fps... not super but definatly playable. but even my aging desktop still beats it.

Laptop, I will never own a desktop again, its free wheeling, I am ussually on my computer in the living room in front of the TV, laying on the couch, laptop on the coffee table, but the mobility is the big thing for me and much more so than price or power.

If you game get a desktop. I have both and my wireless on my laptop doesn't drop. Just get a decent router. Plus what i love about laptops is i can sit in front of the tv and surf the internet all on the comfort of my coach.
