Help ps3/internet question
I was happily playing team fortress 2 on the ps3 with my old internet. But I took a long break, several months. Now I've changed to a different internet - which is better (more bandwidth), and is working better for all my web surfing - but for some reason it's nearly impossible to play team fortress 2 now due to connection problems.
Does anyone have any idea why this is/could be? Either my internet is sort of incompatable with online gaming for some reason - or team fortress 2 servers are now worse?

When I tried condemned online it worked fine

Check the firewall. Do you use a router? Cause the router also has a firewall in it as well.

How do I check the firewall? When I go through the options on the ps3, well I get a bunch of acronyms I don't get, but none are the acronyms mentioned in the team fortress manual about firewalls?

Ok so I contacted EA, they said check all the ports where available, so I turned of firewall - but it made no difference. Then I contacted my internet provider, give them the port numbers, but they said they where all available. The guy got back to me said he tried team fortress on a different isp and it was still slow (mine was worse than slow though ) so it's probably their servers that are the problem. Valve should be releasing a patch though - will have to wait and hope

Damn that sucks. Yeah I haven't been on steam in a while (counter strike) so don't know how it's been. Is it just like that for TF or all games on steam?
