I'm pretty sure games where better 2d. I just finished Bioshock. It was fun enough, but not worthy of the 96% reviewers where giving it. Not quiet as good as half life. Which wasn't quiet as good as doom - I mean relative to the time.
I remember awesome 2d games, there used to be so much diversity: Street fighter, Sonic, SuperMario, Lemmings, Worms, Xenon 2, R-type, Escape from Monkey Island, etc etc. Nowadays every game seems to be another first person shooter. And always sort of short, it seems like the programmers are more in love with the graphics than the gameplay.

This is exactly why the game system I bought was Super Nintedo. There is nothing better than the classic Nintendo, Sega, Super Nintendo etc. games. The newer ones just have too many damn options, I like jumping on goombas, turtles, and robot animals.

Yeah I wish they'd just rehash some of the old games and stick them on the new systems. They don't have to be 3d or anything eather.

Ditto, a couple of years ago they started coming out with these little boxes that had one controller and the red and yellow wires to hook up to your television and it had like 3 or 4 Sega games on it. I'm pretty sure they made a Nintendo one also, but I haven't seen it in a while. Either way, I was so happy to play Altered Beast again!
