Hey guys, I have a 80gig iPod and its worked fine for a long time, but lately its been giving me problems. First it screwed up all my album cover images. It puts the wrong bands album covers all the time and sometimes it will even take images from a video and use that as the album cover. Thats a problem I could have dealt with, but today I noticed it was skipping some of my songs. I came home, brought up iTunes and hooked up my iPod. Well I brought up all my songs and played each one at a time, over 3000 of them, only to find that 90% of my songs had that error symbol and will not play anymore. I didn't download any new version or anything like that cause I had no need to. Anyone know what is wrong with this thing and how I can fix it without losing all my songs

I think the error symbol can come up if you remove the songs from where you had them originally on your computer. Well atleast that's what happened when I move my Metallica songs to a new folder.

it should only do that if your looking in your library, but I'm talking about the list of songs thats on my ipod. I always add stuff to the pod and then delete it off the computer right away to save space
