Windows 7 feelings?
I have been playing with it for abit on a custom machine.. Havent ran into any HUGE problems, besides an issue with native drivers for my ASUS board and its integrated NIC.
Anyone else lucky enough to be playing with it? They pulled the release date back for the 2,500,000 product keys they we're going to give out. I honestly am getting a bit excited it is quite abit more resource friendly than Vista |
I havent get a chance to tried it yet :(
you got an installer for this? |
No want to share xperience?

I have it, and I'm using it right now as I type this. It's soooooo much faster then any other windows OS before it.
Maybe it's just a beta thing, but I'm having problems in terms of stress testing it. Meaning, if I leave it running for more then a few hours without resetting, I get a few bugs here and there. Especially in terms of installing new software, sometimes I will have to reset my PC just to install simple programs like Ventrilo. I'm sure it'll all be fixed when it's actually released. |
Been testing it for a bit more than a month now.
It's okay. Much better than Vista, but I still prefer using XP. I like how Microsoft learned from its mistakes with Vista and altered the things that I felt they needed to change. It'll also be nice to have the ability to uninstall/disable Internet Explorer for a change. I'm pissed about Windows 7 Starter (netbook version) that limits just three programs at a single time running. Really? I guess Microsoft needs to do what it needs to do, but I think it's a stupid decision. My latest ramblings regarding Windows 7. Cheers! |

It can't be any worse then Vista was when it first came out so I will here the reviews and determine whether or not I want to upgrade.

The issue I was speaking about was a built-in limitation for Windows 7 Starter (for netbooks and other low-powered devices) that stopped users from having more than three programs open at once. (I normally have a Firefox window, Opera window, MP3 player, AIM, and a Wordpad program open at the same time. It would have been horrible to have that limited to just three.) |
