You have to do a system restore. It should be in the Control Panel. When you get to it, there should be options on what date to set and how far back you want to restore your system.

System restore is largely a piece of crap. It is often corrupted and wont work. Not to mention some virsus target it so you can't use it.

start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore, .....simplynate is right largely it doesnt work if you have the factory disks they sent with the computer you can back-up what you want and wipe your computer back to the way it was when you took it out the box......
try the system restore first and try to go as far back as you can.........good luck........
