I was at the Mac World keynote and the demo f'n rocked.

I dont have 599 US to spare AND you have to sign up for a 2 YEAR contract with cingular... MUST!

which means as a canuck, Im SOL this time around.

They hyped it as a phone "re-invention"... dunno about that...

It is very cool though... from a gadget point of view

the price point... 8 GB iPod will hit you 250 US already... and that doesnt have video... so add the 350 difference for the phone... it actually isnt that bad...

It still prices me right outta the market though

I mean, forget about the alternatives, if you're not using an ipod these days you're an outcast.

I traded in my creative zen for a 30 gig ipod even... i held out for as long as possible!

Dunno the details about cost for the 2 year plan...
but its gotta be cingular because they've made changes to their network to allow for random access to voicemail msgs...which is an iPhone feature
