iphone - It will include everything your typical phone does with the apple touch. It will incorporate everything your ipod does. It will incorporate ichat. That's right, video conferencing folks - a first for cell phones.
itv - a device used to wirelessly stream your content (music & movies, etc.) from your computer to your home entertainment center.
If these two gadgets are the new toys, would you want to own one? I would be interested in both. More interested in itv because I hate cell phones, but I might change my tune if the iphone does what it says it'll do and more.
Personally, I am sick of all of this iShit. They are just taking existing stuff and turning it into their own trendy deal. There was lots of stuff before iPod.
As for the iPhone thing, I don't like that idea. That's just what we need, teenagers riding around in their cars looking at their phone as they talk and attempt to drive.
And the iTV, there's a lot of devices already that do that.
The Apple TV is mainly the hook up for, you guessed it, MACS.

I thought that slingbox thing worked for Macs too? If it doesn't, then I am wrong and apple tv or whatever is an innovation.
I still don't know about the iPhone thing though. We'll have to see. I've had phones that do a host of things and in the end, all it does is slow down the actual function of the phone. You're listening to music, surfing the web, and then a call comes in and it takes so long for the phoen to realize what the hell it's supposed to do and 3 rings have gone by on the caller's end already.

You also right about actually using it. Toys say they can do certain things but underperform in the middle of the action. We'll see if it can deliver...

See that's what sucks. I have a Pocket PC Phone, it was like 400 bucks. Thought it would be the shit! I even have the core media player so I can rip DVDs, dump them on my flash card, and watch DVD movies on my phone! Internet Explorer, tons of games, voice dialing, instant messaging, all that crap. Windows on a phone.
The phone sucks. Worse than the Treo 650 I used to own. But I guess I could blame all of this on MS, and not Sprint. Maybe Apple will get it right, or at least better.
It does look cool but the no buttons kinda worries me. My phone is like that (it slides out to a full keyboard if I wanted) and it's kind of annoying to have to push the screen in the right place in a hurry instead of a button you can feel you know? Plus you have to clean the screen all the time from fingerprints.
I guess the conclusion is I hate my phone and my bad for hating on yours I do wish they'd come up with a different naming convention than all of this i stuff though!
