Yea, they are a little awkward to get used to and it also becomes painful on your neck because the bar kind of slides up to your neck, so I just wrap a towel around the bar

Definitely. If you look at my workout routine you'll notice that almost every one of my lifts is hitting my core.

I bet, and I imagine your core strength is already very strong from just doing Judo. Do you ever compete in Judo??

I guess it is, I notice HUGE differences to when i have been regularly training and coming back off a layoff etc.
I do compete but NO where as near as enough as i should or would like to. I will try to step it up although i am a 4th kyu and have been told by black belts i should be a 2nd kyu and i need comp points to do so. Although i do admit i love the art but am not a big fan of the competition rules especially the limited time on the ground.
I also hope to get into BJJ in the not to distant future.

Ya man, Australia has a really good Bjj scene. I know a couple people through the internet that grapple over there and they improve way fast

Meaning you are using high bar? I'm no good with high bar, but when I was gm'ing, I would use as narrow of a low bar as I could, and the lower trap shelf would prevent the bar from going anywhere.
Nice snatch. pr.
