Mon 7-26: jump rope warmup, then standup partner drills. My clinch game sucks badly. I think I'm testing for rank in judo in two weeks also, so I'm nervous as shit.
Tue: rested like a bitch.
Wed: karate (a lot of stretching, kick drills, then belt chokes) then MMA combination (more guard passes and then passing to mount), then kick shield and live standup drills.
Thur: Judo which was full of super awesome cardio-related drills, lots of throwing and randori, and no uchikomi at all. I loved it. I told the brown belt who was teaching that we need a lot of workouts like this if we're going to be in our best beast mode on the mat.
Fri: rested, but walked dog about 2 miles.
Sat: Judo, we all had to do as many throws as we needed for our next/first belt, then we worked sweeps, which was freakin awesome, and we haven't done in there in forever. I'm hoping that what the green belt brings to the table, which is a blue BJJ belt and twice-weekly BJJ classes in Erie, continues to influence our training.

We're still trying to schedule a test time. I'm not willing to test at 8 am on a weekend morning, not because I don't want to get up, but because I'll be slower to warm up and loosen up.

Mon 8-02: ran 2 miles in early PM; kickboxing at 6. After having run just once in the last week (on top of all my other classes b/c I feel running improves my cardio the fastest and most effectively) my cardio is already better. I was slow (10:10-10:00 mile STOP LAUGHING!) but only had to stop once, to stretch out my calves, which I always have to do anyway.
EDIT: Kickboxing was all pad work and live drills with some jump rope intervals in the warmup. I used all sorts of impractical things that I love, like double round kick, switch kick, spinning backfist, etc. One of my partners is still learning control, but she's improved quite a bit.
Tue: rode the bike for about 10 min while swplet did an extremely brief workout, then I did Shotokan which got on my last nerve b/c the sensei wants to teach maybe ONE dynamic combination floor drill per class. Then I did kata in full gi in the hot humid dojo.
Wed: Passing guard to mount, then passing to side control, other similar stuff that I forgot. There was more live stuff so I got some of that awesome lung-busting cardio that only grappling can provide.
Thur: 30 min bike in early PM, then judo, which was a lot of randori (I forget the Japanese for "intense movement" but that's what my sensei called it) then I practiced for 1/2 hour after class with my sensei and the guy I'm testing with. I'm reviewing all the USJA stuff we have to know for the written part of the test and I'm testing with my favorite throw (NOT) ippon seioi nage, uki goshi, (or o goshi with a different grip) o soto gari, and okuri ashi harai.
Fri: Rested like a piggeh.
Sat: Judo, which was a repeat of Thursday, which means there was a fair bit of cardio, and I was thrilled that we didn't stand around and talk half the time.

Sun: rested
Mon: kickboxing (jump rope/plank/pushup/situp intervals, then kick shield and pad drills) then point sparring (about 9 rather intense 30-second rounds). I realize intense is a contradiction in terms, but everybody was bigger than me and I felt like I had to run away a lot in an attempt to tire them out. Don't worry, I did my share of striking. I wasn't just dancing around.
Tue: rested, because I think it was the hottest day of the week. I hope I'm right.
Wednesday: goshinjitsu karate (kata), then MMA combination, which was rotating heavy bag/GnP drills, then some live standup and takedowns that were super fun, even though my sprawl is somewhat lacking.
Thur: judo: uchikomi, butsu gari gaiko, ne waza. I got kezigatame and katagatame backwards like a dumbass.
Fri: Shotokan, where we did not a damn thing but two kata and some related drills. That class is turning out to be a whole lof of nothing. I'm not sure I'm going to continue with it.
Sat: Judo (just like Thur except no ground) then 25 min. stepmill.

Sunday: rested. Every single f*cking day for the past six weeks, with the exception of maybe 4 or 5 days when it rained, has been hot and very humid. I walked about 2 miles altogether with my dog, but I do that just about every day anyway. I have got to ice my left Achilles tonight. There are a few new people in the Monday and Wednesday evening classes, so my teacher has abandoned the 15 straight minutes of jump rope he loves so much, which my Achilles hates so much. I know jump rope is super awesome cardio, but it makes my calves tighten up like mad. I'd do insane amounts of pad and bag work before I jumped rope that long habitually. My teacher has a f*cked up knee, and he is totally going to get arthritis in that knee if he keeps jumping rope on it obsessively.
Mon: fun super mega fun partner pad work, then point sparring.
Tue: rested b/c legs hurt a lot from yesterday.
EDIT: Holy shit I can't believe I haven't kept this up this week. Wednesday was all standup.
Thur: judo, a lot of the drills have become more cardio-type drills, probably since we told the sensei how much we loved when the brown belt taught and made us move around a lot and sweat hard. I have bleached my gi twice and I'll probably have to do it again.......stupid well water.
Fri: rested
Sat: judo yellow belt test, not terribly demanding
Sun: rested

Mon: 10 min jump rope (achilles is going to be very mad at me tomorrow) and standup drills. I love these workouts.
Tue: 3 mile run
Wed: karate (I was late and had to do 50 of all the warmup exercises, eww) then MMA standup, which was pad work. I missed the partner ground striking drills due to driving a kid around. That sucked b/c they're really fun. I hit the bag till I could fall into class.
Thur: judo
Fri, Sat, Sun, rested. FAIL

Mon 8-30: jump rope, kick shield drills, pad work. I had a heavy hitting partner so it was fun. But he stank to high heaven. Detergent, guys. It's not expensive.
Tue: 3.5 mile run. I had to take a bathroom break at the 2 mile mark which isn't embarrassing at all! Also, I'm never running sockless in new shoes again. ow ow ow ow
Wed: 3 mile run. It's very hot again, so I may or may not go to karate and MMA combination. Lately the MMA combination has been standup for the girls, then the girls are all supposed to leave so the guys can get a) more instruction and b) a higher caliber of instruction with regard to ground fighting. This makes smoke come out of my ears. Karate was some kind of cool dynamic floor drills that are hard to describe, then MMA was all standup, and then the guys got to roll, because some of them are fighting on Saturday. I get that fighters who compete raise the profile of the gym, but my gym is becoming sexist as all hell.
Thur: Judo. We talked about varying grips and toward the end of class it got really really exciting b/c I was trying to fake a grip on one side and then jump into the entry with a grip on the other side, and we finally did that in randori, and it made me want a lot more randori.
Fri: Not a damn thing.
Sat.: Same.

No, my feet got kind of cut up because they're newish shoes and I'd never run in them without socks before. And I can't find my liquid bandage, so I'm winding band-aids and neosporin around my fourth toes like a wuss.

EDIT: Oh, I see what you meant. I'm an idiot. I always have to run to the can once during class because I drink a lot of water, and my gym doesn't have AC.
