Mon: AM: drilled snake hip, combat stance, kimura sweep, a few live rounds like usual. PM: kick shield and dynamic partner striking drills up and down the floor.
Tue: Short kata class, then 25 min. stepmill.
Wed: AM grappling. I don't know if I can call it BJJ or not. I guess my teacher is a 10th Planet guy. Not much cardio, but I still have a lot of sore muscles due to rolling with people bigger and stronger than me. I also lack technique, so I muscle things. That's one of the reasons I'm taking that class.
Thur: I forgot that AM pad work is now 9:30 instead of 10:30. I came for the Thursday night class; I didn't do judo because I just didn't want to do 75 minutes of uchikomi and 15 of randori tonight. I rolled with a tough girl partner, we drilled escapes from side control, guard breaks, passes, etc. It was a great class. I love when I get strong girl partners.
Fri: rested
Sat: Judo, got tsurikomi goshi. Class was about 10 min of warmup, about 50 min of nonstop uchikomi, then maybe 15 min of randori tacked on. This leisurely pace frustrated me, so I ran 3 miles afterward.
Sun: rested

Mon: AM grappling was ghost, old school, more live rolling in which I got consistently owned. I have the underhook side mount escape down OK. PM was jump rope and kick shield drills. I got there late b/c class is at 6 and I work till 6, so my kick shield was the heavy bag. Then we did standup partner drills and two rounds on the heavy bags.
Tue: rested. I don't like Tuesday being a rest day. I came home to a kid who brought 2 friends home, and one needed to go home and didn't have a ride, and I wanted to make them some food, etc. etc. etc.W
Wed: AM grappling, same as Monday. PM class was all standup and awesome, except my face hurt b/c I had gum surgery earlier today.
Thur: All grappling. I love these classes b/c I have a tough little girl partner, who I think I've mentioned before. Our guard passes are improving a lot. Our teacher was a 10th Planet blue belt, nice mellow patient guy (Not the guy who teaches the M/W AM classes, but he's cool too).
Fri: rested
Sat: Judo, a slightly extended warmup because one of the brown belts may have mentioned to the sensei that we needed more cardio, like way way more, but this was a slight improvement. Threw the line a couple times, a few rounds of randori, then a 3 mile run after b/c I have yet to work up a sweat in this class that is 70% demo, 30% we get to do it, no lie, hope this changes soon.
Sun: karate (kicking drills and pad combinations), then MMA which was all standup and pushed cardio. I probably looked like crap but it was a great workout.

Mon: I'm sure my karate sensei thought "WTF is that candy ass soccer mom doing in here after class last night?" Well, I WAS there. We drilled heel drag to deep half guard, then I watched all the other guys shark tank a guy who's fighting in 3 weeks. I'm starting to learn the concept of the sit-out (in grappling, not like being a sub lol) and "going out the back door."
PM class was the usual warmup and then dynamic partner combinations up and down the floor. I got kicked in the quad and it hurts a lot. The BJJ guys who only know how to throw leg kicks, throw them hard.
Tue: rested
Wed: AM grappling was electric chair and a sweep from butterfly guard that I forgot the name of, then live rolling. It was fun as shit. I wore my first long sleeved rash guard ever and loved it, although I already know from another girl who has it that the logo comes off fast. Then I got on the stepmill for 30 minutes. I didn't do any class tonight.
Thur: drilled armbars, guard passes to grapevine and skydive, rolled a few rounds live and tapped someone for the first time in ages. I was so excited.
Fri: AM grappling was tornado sweep and a lot of other stuff that was kind of confusing. I realize tornado sweep is more at the blue or purple belt level. PM was continual standup that progressed to holding kicks and takedowns and attempting to get position. The rounds got longer as we incorporated more techniques. It was fairly demanding and I keep getting kicked in the left quad. Once again, I prob. looked terrible but it was a fun ass workout. The people there are usually very patient and sportsmanlike about acknowledging that all types, whether it's amateur fighters or hobbyists who want a good workout and love the relevant disciplines, have the right to train there if they've paid.
Sat: Judo. All randori, all the time. It totally ruled. Two brown belts who aren't usually there were in attendance, and it was a way better workout than it usually way.
Sun: rested

Mon: No AM BJJ, moved to Tue. PM kickboxing was run by a kid who is one of the dojo's new black belts. He runs the class efficiently without going all John Kreese on us.
Tue: AM grappling was armbar drills, electric chair (love) and some live rolling. I had a girl partner who was not an experienced grappler, but a habitual runner and very strong. PM was a breakdown of shooting in for the double leg takedown, and some high scissor drills (scissor under, high leg over). This works the entire body and is a great warmup IMO. Prior to that, I warmed myself up with about 15 total minutes of interval jump roping.
Wed: AM grappling was a repeat of Tuesday. I had great, tough girl partners. There was a lot of transitioning, which we like b/c we want to move around and work. We're all still relatively new to JJ-type grappling, so we still work on posture and guard breaks a lot.
Thur, Fri, Sat: rested. Quads were more sore than they've been in months.
Sun: Karate was just kata and blocking/striking drills. So excited for more BJJ.

Mon: AM was some live drills where I got caught repeatedly in ankle locks and one calf crusher that hurt like hell. Then we learned a cool ass kimura sweep fake that goes into a guillotine. I can't remember all the goofy names for things that 10th Planet has (zombie, mission control, New York etc). PM was kickboxing (jump rope, medicine ball etc. warmup) and pad work.
Tue: PM grappling, was all technique. I got d'Arce/brabo, anaconda to gator roll, and Peruvian necktie. I don't think I'll remember anything but anaconda very well. The only cardio was jump rope which I did on my own, and then everybody who filtered in copied me because I'm so awesome, or ridiculous, or both.
Wed: All standup.
thur: Judo was finally a ton of randori. My teacher was all psyched because of some of the back and forth when it was my turn on the mat. My favorite uke is just about my height, but way stronger than me. I felt like some of my throws were butt throws, but everybody was all enthused, and one of the brown belts was telling me how much I'd improved in the last 6 weeks.
Fri, Sat, Sun: Didn't do anything but walk my dog. Hurt my left ankle, the one I broke about 4 years ago, and have been icing it every day. Kickboxing tonight.

Mon: Karate (kick drills and combination pad drills) then kickboxing, which was more pad work. I came in halfway b/c there's a 1/2 hour overlap between the two classes. Kickboxing was more pad work, which is fine with me, because I love pad work.
Tue: Should have gone to AM combination class, because I couldn't go to the gym due to my daughter's band concert.
Wed: AM BJJ was several live rounds (sweeps, mount escapes) then we drilled asylum sweep, kung fu, Japanese visegrips, and my partner helped me work on butterfly sweep.
Thur: Did grappling rather than judo, since I knew one of the guys in judo was going to bring his kids who run around uncontrollably the entire time and make me nervous to throw or get thrown for fear of flattening one of them. We drilled guard passes and sweeps, then a flow drill which was kimura/kimura sweep/guillotine/triangle/armbar. I had my usual tough awesome little girl partner. This week has been a bit of a cardio fail so far, but I've learned so much. I've got to start running regularly again, however.
Fri: Didn't work out; I have body aches etc.
Sat: Still kind of sick.

Sun: karate (stretches, kick and reflex drills) and MMA, which was all standup. I have a problem getting in and out of the pocket fast. My teacher is not terribly specific in his instruction with regard to basic boxing.
Mon: BJJ was old school and plan B sweeps. I'm still working lots and lots on posturing up and breaking guard without getting broken down or leaving an arm out. We did many live drills that were fun as hell but I don't have enough technique to stay in long without getting submitted. 2 mile run afterwards. Not sure if I'll go to kickboxing tonight or not.

I forgot to say that I drilled butterfly sweep and lateral throw some more. I think these might join my growing list of go-to techniques.
Tue: had to stay home and put the tree up and help the Swplets decorate cookies.
Wed: BJJ was taking the angle and different places you could go from there. Then I ran 3.5 miles at about a 9:50 mile. I never said I was fast! I'd like to be able to run 5-6 days a week again. It's worth the extra time in the AM not to have to go back for cardio in the PM.
Thur: judo. We drilled about 12 throws, tae otoshi, koshi guruma, soto makikomi, o soto gari, harae goshi, ippon seioi nage, and hanae goshi, among others. I'd have to say my favorite was soto makikomi.
Fri: 4 mile run, bag drills.
Sat: Various factors that I don't want to go into made my whole body hurt. It was all I could do to vacuum, walk the dog and do laundry. I'm done taking rest days during the week if I can possibly help it. I'm also in a shame spiral from drinking and eating way too much the past two Saturdays.

Mon: AM: guillotine defense in BJJ, ran 2 miles. PM: jump rope and pad work.
Tue: Wrestling for MMA. I jump roped for about 12 min in intervals before class, then we drilled double-leg takedowns and fireman's carry. I think it's a little different from its judo counterpart, kata guruma, in the execution, but I'm not certain.
Wed: A few bag drills, then ran 4.5 miles.
Thur: Judo. Various uchiomi, then tsubame gaeshi.
Fri, Sat, Sun, rested like a piggy.

Mon 12-27: BJJ was guard passes, asylum sweep and 3 5-minute live rounds. I armbarred my partner, a tough little girl who is training now to take amateur fights when she's old enough early next year. I got her with one guillotine and one triangle also, which is good because I tried them on her other times and couldn't finish her. Then I ran/walked 3.5 miles (struggling and sucking air after drinking off and on for 2 days like an idiot) and warmed down with 10 min on the stepmill.
Tue: rested.
Wed: BJJ was a couple of mount escapes and a lot of live rolling. I tapped my partner twice with a guillotine, and she tapped me once but I forget what it was. 30 min stepmill, then karate which was kata and then spin kick drills.
Thur: 2 mile run, then judo (uchikomi, throwing in a round robin, then ground randori). Ground randori was fun as shit. Still need to get my miles waaaay, way up, though.
Fri: BJJ was open mat and I correctly assumed that nobody would show up. I ran 1 mile and did 30 min on the stepmill and feel full of fail. My legs hurrrrrt from the short run and ground randori last night. Also, my diet has got to improve drastically, although I did abstain from alcohol for the past two nights.
Sat: rested
Sun: rested

Mon: BJJ in the AM wasn't much besides guard passing.
Tue: jumped rope for about 10 min total, then 1/2 hour kata class.
Wed: didn't do anything.
Thur: Judo was butsugari gaiko, which is just randori where the tori attacks constantly, and the uke just tries to evade. Then we went to pins and some ground fighting, which was super awesome.
Fri: Nothing yet. Hopefully I'll run later. Feeling like a fail for not having more cardio the rest of this week.
Fri: 3.5 mile run.
Sat: Judo was more butsugari gaiko and pins. Nobody expects me to shrimp out when they try to pin me muahahaaa!!
Sun: rested
