Mon 3-14: kickboxing
tue: Kata. I got my orange belt (karate) so now I get to learn a few more kata. Go ahead and hate, but I kind of like going through them over and over and discussing the bunkai.
Wed: Kickboxing with a lot of partner pad drills, which I love.
thur: Judo. A lot of chalk talk.
Fri: rested
Sat: Judo. More chalk talk. Helpful, but frustrating from a cardio standpoint.
Sun: rested

Thanks. It'll probably be another year or so before I belt test for karate again. In the interim, I want to concentrate more on running and judo, and hope that a proper BJJ (gi) program begins at my dojo. I'd like to get my judo green belt within the next year.

Mon 3-21: kickboxing. I had an awesome partner, a (karate) black belt who I have taken many a private lesson from. She is in great shape at 51 and a continual inspiration.
tue: rested; had to take small Swplet for highlights.
Wed: Same as Mon.
Thur: Judo, which was a lot more randori and worked us a lot harder, which was great. We did a lot of fast ippon to pin drills.
Fri: rested
Sat: rested
Sun: 3 mile run, a few heavy bag and speed bag drills.
I want to run a 5K in early May. I know I *can* run 3 miles, but I want to have a decent time, and running outside is harder than running on a treadmill, IMO.

Mon 3-38: kickboxing, all interval cardio and combinations like usual.
Tue: kata, then some sit out drills, upa to roll out defense drills, breakfalls, forward rolls, then forward rolls to breakfalls.
Wed: 4 mile run, .5 mile warmdown. I had to take one bathroom break and several stretch breaks, because my calves don't like obsessive jumping rope in the M W PM kickboxing classes. IDK if I'll work out again tonight; two-a-days are sometimes logistically challenging in the grownup lady world.
thur: Judo. A lot of butsugari gaiko, but still not that much cardio.
Fri: 3 mile run
Sat: judo, same as thur
Sun: rested

Mon: 3 mile run, then karate in the evening (pushups/situps warmup, then kick drill, then kata)
Tue: 4 mile run
wed: rested
Thur: judo, more randori which was a welcome change
Fri: 2 mile run
sat: there wasn't a formal judo class due to a tournament in the Cleveland area. One of the brown belts ran an open mat and I got to train a lot with my girl uke.
Sun: rested

Mon 4-11: 2 mile run. Karate in the evening (jump rope, kick drills, partner pad drills).
Tue: rested, and I shouldn't have.
Wed: AM 4 mile run, PM karate, a lot like Mon except no jump rope.
Thur: AM 2.25 mile run, 20 min stepmill. Judo later, will update accordingly. It was a lot of drilling for the float that is the foundation of most hip throws, like harae goshi, hanae goshi and uchimata, and then a fair bit of awesome randori.
Fri: BJJ class canceled, so I ran and did a bunch of heavy bag drills.
Sat: rested
Sun: 3.5 mile run, 15 min stepmill.

Mon 4-18: 2 mile run, 15 min stepmill. I'm going to try to double up tomorrow, as there's a makeup judo class tomorrow night.
Tue: No AM workout; I'd forgotten I had to take the small Swplet to the pediatrician for a checkup. Judo was dynamic throwing drills (ie step back, kazushi, fit and throw, repeat in a straight line) and randori.
Wed: 1 mile run before 1 hour or so of pretty much nonstop cardio in the form of point sparring. As a combat sport, I find point sparring very silly, but it does confer some speed/agility/cardio benefit that helps me in my standup.
Thur: I got drilled in my left quad last night and now I'm icing it so I'm worth something at judo tonight. I can do harae goshi, hanae goshi and uchimata; however my instructor says if I nail them, he'll show me yama arashi, which looks like buckets of fun.
EDIT: The first hour of judo was great, with a lot of moving drills, but the last half hour was all talking about grip, which is useful but doesn't work me.
Fri: AM 3.5 mile run, then PM sparring drills with an all-womens' class. It's a new class and I hope it continues to grow, because it was a decent workout and helps with basic boxing.
Sat: rested

Sun: rested, walked the dog about 2 miles.
Mon 4-25: kickboxing (jump rope/plyo/plank/pushups/situps warmup, then light live standup. This class has not varied much in setup lately, but it was still a lot of fun.
Tue: Judo was a side fall and foot sweep heavy warmup, then we drilled de ashi harai as a counter to ippon seioi nage, then drilled seioi toshi as a counter to ippon seioi nage, and a little osaekomi, my favorite part of the evening. There are 2 new people and probably a third coming soon.
Wed: AM BJJ was 1/2 hour nogi (I was late) that was just guard passes. Then I rolled in my gi for an hour, which was grip breaks returning to belt grip or sternum, then breaking my opponent down, trapping their forearm to my bellybutton, kicking out and hooking the leg, and sitting up for the armbar. I also drilled sitting out from guard, posting my arm out and grabbing the lapel on the opposite side to take their back. I'm sore, but that's how it's supposed to be, and I loved this workout so much.
Thur: A guy from the Drysdale affiliate in Erie PA, about 45 min from here, was supposed to show up but got stuck at work. However, there were two of the regular local instructors, and it was a relatively big class (12 people). We warmed up with armbar and triangle drills, then sprawl, sprawl to anaconda, anaconda to the back, then get both hooks in, flatten them out and choke.
Fri: AM BJJ, worked a lot of the same stuff from Thursday night.
Sat: Dojo closed due to a point sparring tournament. LAME
Sun: walked dog twice like usual, and walked around wet cold windy soccer fields.
