Mon 11-14: MT conditioning was the usual mat jog and jump rope, then a bunch of bag drills and shadowboxing. BJJ was a kimura flow drill, then a few mount escapes. I'm still getting spider and breakdance warmups down. They're so fun and fluid when I get them right. Going to my other gym this PM with my daughter, so I may try to bang out a mile or three. Horrible headache today. That'll learn me not to drink the night before.
EDIT: Ran 2 miles
Tue: MT was mad pad work. My cardio is probably good to test for my shorts, but I'm going to wait till the instructor brings it up again. He's going to teach us wai khru and ram muay eventually, which thrills me no end.
Wed: I taught gym today so I did a lot of running, hopping, jumping, plus about 20 minutes on the stepmill. BJJ was a nice defense against americana from the back, some more spider guard stuff because I asked for it, other technique that I can't remember right now, and a few rounds rolling live where I didn't get completely owned, which is definitely progress.
Thur: MT; like Tuesday only harder work.
Fri: taught gym again and played a fair bit of basketball.
Sat: rested
Sun: tabata rounds, kick shield drills, various plyo type stuff.

Mon: bag drills, then BJJ
Tue: MT
Wed: 40 min stepmill
Thur: rested
Fri: rested
Sat: 1 mile run, 10 min bike, 15 min jump rope.
Sun: rested, but walked my dog about 2.5 miles total, as I customarily do.
I'm getting a lot of sh!t at home about driving 7 min to the other gym, which is bullshit b/c it's no further than the TKD dojang I went to 4-5x a week for 5 years. I have been asked to help with the kids' BJJ class Wed. night and maybe Sat. AM. A couple of little girls go, and I think they want a semiskilled, sympathetic female figure there.
I'm going to miss judo. I wish I could afford both gyms.

Back at the top of the page, bitches!
Mon 11-28: 3 mile run. A run a day makes all the dumb go away, and there's been quite a bit of dumb about lately. I wish I was a good outside runner; I wouldn't have to belong to this gym at all and I'd have an easier time paying for MT, but my daughter supposedly wants to train for indoor soccer. She's been to this gym twice in the past 3 weeks. Eventually she'll have to prioritize, since if she's not in school or doing homework, she's taking guitar lessons and singing and playing.
Tue: MT
Wed: helped with kids BJJ class, got ragdolled around to amuse them
Thur: MT
Fri: rested
Sat: Helped with kids class, but didn't work hard, so rested.
Sun: Walked my dog a couple of times, like I do every day.

Mon 12-12: Wiped out after not much sleep the night before and teaching gym all day; rested.
Tue: MT at 6. Which ruled.
Wed: BJJ was executioner's choke and some live rolling. I tapped a kid from on our knees grip fighting, I pulled guard and caught him in a guillotine, and he was a tough 17 yr old kid and very strong, and I was very proud.
The rest of this week is a blur TBH. I'm going to start over with my next post.

Last week I worked out TWTh, muay thai and running. I haven't worked out since this past Thursday. This is why the holidays are wearing, because they f*ck with my workouts. Today (Mon 1-2-12) I'm running, or going on the stepmill, b/c I've been sick and have had virtually no appetite.
EDIT: 3 mile run and jump rope frenzy was the best thing I could have done today. I feel much better mentally and physically, and the other people in the ring with me were sporting when I told them they jumped rope like bitches.
Tue: MT was the customary warmup (mat jog, jump rope, mat walk w/teep & knee drills) then we worked the 15 count. I've written it down and now I'm merely hoping I don't practice it wrong.
Wed: Head and arm triangle from mount and a collar choke from mount (not najijujijime, you start with a high cross grip so the inside of your wrist is right next to their carotid, then post your opposite arm out across and draw the elbow right back in; extremely effective and painful), then a few live rounds. The Carlson Gracie/de la Riva/Chuck Anzalone students we have been training with have incredible transitions from the top, which I am hoping to acquire sooner rather than later.
Thur: MT was a little more intense, as Thursdays usually are; just how I like it. The classes keep growing; there were about 14 people in a fairly small room and I think the kru was psyched. Afterward some of the guys did live standup, which I totally could have done. I was standing in the entryway with a few of the other women, one of whom had brought beer and wine, and drinking and periodically saying "I could totally do that. All of us could totally do that."
Fri: 2 mile run, 20 min stepmill, 3 min jump rope. I'm getting over being sick, so I'm not 100% atm.

Mon 1-09: 10 3-min rounds of jump rope and a few rounds of pad work. I didn't work out Sat or Sun so I was trying to sweat out the fail. I also got hangman's choke and triple threat mount in BJJ. My instructor is a clergyman who sounds exactly like Jim Dangle, but is highly skilled and it's virtually impossible, for me anyway, to pass his guard.
Tue: MT, mostly hands
Wed: rested
Thur: MT, stations, pad work, bag work, jump rope, tabata drills
Fri: 3 mile run, 20 min bike

Mon 1-16: 3.5 mile run, 3 3-min rounds jump rope. I wish I could have jumped rope more, but I had to pick up a child.
Tue: MT
Wed: BJJ. I wish I could remember what we did. I do know I choked a kid out with a guillotine.
Thur: MT
Fri: rested
Sat: rested
Sun: 3 mile run

Mon 1-23: 3 mile run
Tue: MT. We worked the 15 count so it was fun as shit but not a lot of cardio.
Wed: rested
Thur: MT. More intense, as Thursdays always are.
Fri: rested
Sat: rested
Sun: 3.5 mile run, 3-4 3 min. rounds jump rope, I forget exactly how many, because I can't get the bastardly bastarding round timer to work properly.

At the top of the page again. You bitches better recognize.
Mon 1-30: 3 mile run, 4 3-min rounds jump rope.
Tue: MT; more intense than most Tuesdays but I'd like to go harder.
Wed: BJJ was americana and guillotine from side control. I didn't sweat much, though, so it feels like an active rest day.
Thur: MT
Fri: I think I rested the rest of the weekend.

Tue 2/07 : MT. This week was training for my 2nd job, so it made working out something I had to pursue more aggressively.
Wed: I forget what BJJ was. I think we did some technique and then rolled. Astounding, right? My gym is going to
Thu: MT
Fri: rested
Sat: rested
Sun: 3.5 mile run. This coming week is going to be less insane, but I've noticed that I'm still being scheduled at or near the absolute maximum of 30 hours that I indicated I was willing to work, which makes it hard to sub. It'd be nice if it got ratcheted back to about 20 after training is over, so I can work both jobs. My mile time has decreased, so it's def. time to increase my distance and not stress about all the time suck errands from Hades that I have to do after I work out.
