week of 7-21-7-26

mon: ran 3 miles, heavy bag, speed bag
tue: ran 3 miles, 35 min stairmaster, 1 round heavy bag (so hot & humid in the Y I thought I was going to puke)
wed: gym blocked by boss who waited 2 months to file a pleading with huge amounts of exhibits. going to tkd in a little while, if we do one steps or extremely careful throw setups (ie joint lock or beginning sweep/reap with no throw) and subsequently no cardio I'm going to be furious. Note to self, tell instructor that sit ups and pushups are not cardiovascular, just annoying.

No i didn't hurl fortunately but I had the dry heaves in the car after i took a shower..sometimes i take diet pop along with my water bottle in case of feeling queasy. couldn't do much bag work unfortunately too hot to even put on the shin guards.usually I jump rope also but not every day in an effort to mix it up.

On a treadmill. If I run on pavement or other hard surfaces apart from a synthetic track, I get terrible shin splints and the ankle I broke last year hurts a lot after and I have to ice it. Probably if I wore my ankle brace and iced it a lot I could run outside when it's cooler. If my lame gym was only air conditioned...

thur 7-24: ran 3 miles, extensive heavy bag combinations, lifted (biceps & triceps) weights too embarrassing to mention but I didn't lift the bar all by itself at least.
fri 7-25: ran 4 miles, 20 min stairmaster. I find that I get more done faster on the treadmill because I don't get too distracted by the speed bag, which calls me if I can see it.
Mon 7-28: ran 4 miles
tue 7-29 ran 4.5 miles w/speed work, felt pukey but did heavy bag combinations for about 15 minutes total (not counting water stops, catching my breath, trying not to barf in rainforest like gym) lifted bi's n tri's (assisted dip, curl, concentrated curl)
wed 7-30 didn't work out, very very tired and probably dehydrated from rainforest YMCA
thur ran 4.5 miles, lifted (chest n back)
fri ran 4.25 miles
sat ran 4.5 miles at SNAP gym, I came with my free week coupon b/c i thought it was manager hours and someone let me in lol i'm going back mon I can't afford not to look into it, it's 2 min. drive from my house

mon 8-04: ran 3 miles, 20 min arc trainer, lifted (chest & back) that is to say lat pulldown, chest fly, incline press, shrugs (technically a shoulder exercise I guess. I never know which day to do shrugs)
tue 8-05: ran 5 miles, wore brace which helped a lot but I still have to ice my ankle, the run felt good though, wasn't sucking air like yesterday. Ran about a 9:45 mile on average I'd guess.
i'm changing gyms to the one which is just down the road from my house b/c it'll save us well over $100.00 in gas every month).
wed 8-06 my daughter's birthday so I came straight home from work. Should have busted out the Wii Fit I guess but idk if it works you very much.
thur 8-07 have to take little girls to ballgame for daughter's bday. and recover from all thumbs ineptitude trying to put decorations up
Fri 8-08 ran 5 miles
Sat 8-09 ran 4.5 miles
sun 8-10 hungover

Mon 8-11 ran 3 miles, lifted (chest & back) going in a few minutes to 8th grade gym class, I mean tkd conditioning, to do gay shit like mountain climbers, squat thrusts, ie nothing that helps me apply technique, is pad work too much to ask for?
My wish was granted and the teacher taught the class instead of letting his gf teach the same old shit. It was a lot of fun and I got to to mad pad work and turning kick drills, two of my favorite things. I thanked him for mixing it up and "not doing the same stuff over and over remember, muscle memory" hint hint. like thanks for not boring us to tears with the same old 8th grade gym conditioning workout like usual.
tue 8-12 ran 4.5 miles, lifted (biceps/triceps) only a few exercises, tricep dip 20lb. concentrated curl 12 lb, forward curl 15 lb, all of them were 3 sets of 12 reps. what I usually do.
wed 8-13 50 min arc trainer, 10 min bike, lifted (shoulders & back) shrugs, row, rear delts, fly, wimpy weights
TKD not cardio, just weapon disarms and joint locks kind of cool but not very exciting.
thur - ran 4 miles
fri - 3?? miles I have to post in here every day or two if it' s longer than that it's hard to remember what I did
sat. off
sun. ran 4.5 miles.
