Tues 8-26 - ran 3.5 miles lifted bi's & tri's
I feel like I wussed out today.
wed 8-27 - ran 2 miles, jump rope 20 min, bike 10 min (I did the jump rope in 2 10 min intervals before and after running)
tkd pushups, situps, ******* jumping jacks, running with intermittent forward roll and back slap out, punching & kicking balance drills (ie side kick from dragon stance and put yr foot straight back down into dragon or X stance) i have showered 3x today bc i got so sweaty both times. I have cut drinking way back to maybe 1/2 beer a night.
Thur:20 min arc trainer, 15 min bike. I had nothing today. I'm getting tired of tkd making me virtually worthless the next day.
It was almost worth it cause I got to do rolls and falls last night. I'd do them at my regular gym if there was room.
Fri: ran 2 miles, 20 min arc trainer, bike 10 min my legs are hurting I don't know why.

sat-sun didn't work out
Mon 9-01: in this order: jumped rope 10 min, ran 3 miles, jumped rope 10 min, ran 1 mile, jab/cross/uppercut or backfist/cross/elbow on some mats hung up on the wall. The only heavy bag I have access to do is at my dojang and there is no tkd tonight due to the holiday. Starting tomorrow I go back to my usual schedule: cardio every weekday and TKD 3-4 nights a week, a weekend workout on top of that if I feel up to it. Now that proper sparring is starting up again 3 of these 4 nights will be cardio related and I will need all the conditioning I can get on my own.
tue: had to get my hair cut and get school stuff for a kid who told me 2 days ahead of time she didn't have her stuff. TKD total waste of time, instructor talked and talked and talked about virtues and we did one-steps for about 15 minutes and then he talked some more. No cardio, giant waste of time. I'm going to have to take up outside running if this type of cluster**** keeps happening. How the **** do you apply what you learn if you devote 45 minutes of an hour to sitting and listening? I HATE MEDITATION. It hurts my back, bores the shit out of me, makes me fidgetier and crankier than hell. Unless you find it relaxing, which I don't, it's a huge waste of gym time imo.
Wed: ran 4 miles, tkd 1 hour talking (instructor talking about his martial arts background, impressive but 1 hour??) then we did forms for 1 hour, not much cardio in tkd
Thur: 45 min arc trainer, 15 min bike
fri: shuffle/squat thrust/step box combos 10 min, arc trainer 25 min, bike 15 min, jump rope 5 min

didn't work out over the weekend due to horrible shin splints and being all iron depleted.
Mon-tkd conditioning interval, jump rope, mad ab work, jumping jacks, squat thrusts, mountain climbers, pad work, pushups, etc. etc. etc.
Tue - warmed up the kids in kids' tkd, pushups, situps, jumping jacks, then i jumped rope for 25 min (intervals 5-10-10) and did about 10 min of combinations on the heavy bag in intervals with the jump rope.
wed–ran 4 miles, tkd was punching drills and blocking drills, both static and dynamic partner drills which were really really fun. it was weapons night and we did sticks (modern arnis) fun as shit but my arms back and wrists hurt lots and lots today, which is
thur - 15 min arc trainer, 10 min shuffle drills, pushups, lifted (shoulders - rear fly, front fly, shrug) then tkd sparring I guess I did 5-6 1-2 minute rounds (interval cause we were rotating). sweated like a piag was great but I haven't sparred in months due to it not happening at my school for months. It was point and I managed to get a few points on ppl here and there.
Fri: Entire body hurt from brutal ownage in sparring. bruises, achy arms and shoulders, shin splints, the works. didn't work out. Iced the most painful spots i.e. ankles, shins.
Sat: didn't work out.
Sun: Trying to shore up motivation to go to the gym after I put away some laundry uuuhhhhhhhhh. I did end up going and was rewarded with watching lock stock N two smoking barrels during my 3 mile run. before that I did some step box combinations for about 10 min b/c there was nobody else in the place and it's good cardio and no-one would see me looking like an idiot.

Monday 9-15:at gym: jump rope 30 min (interval) with step box (switching feet fast one level up with step box)1 min intervals with jump rope. THis was meant to be warm up for tkd conditioning which was 1 hr 15 min of speed front kicks, speed roundhouse kicks, pad work, more jump rope, situps, pushups, kicks from horse stance, switch kicks, this is the class where I sweat like a piag and I wish it was more evenly distributed with some cardio in the other 3 classes each week rather than Monday craziness and then we have to condition on our own the rest of the week. Please excuse wall of text.
tuesday: ran 2 miles, 20 min bike, 5 min jump rope (pretty sore from yesterday)
Wed: ran 4 miles, tkd was all talking and theory re: self-defense, self-defense against a weapon and blitz for sparring.
Thur: jump rope 15 min, bike 20 min, meant to be warm up for sparring which ended up being dynamic kicking drills to the hogu (flutter 45 roundhouse, spinning roundhouse) which were draining cause the kids in my class kick HARD but really really awesomely fun and excellent conditioning. Classes like this get me through the less fun classes where there's a lot of drudgery calisthenics or talkin'.
Fri: I pulled something very painfully whilst in an awesome near-split, a feat I have accomplished many times before but I did something wrong and had to rest it today. I'll do mad work this weekend. I will too! I also had a horrible migraine to the point of nausea..doesn't happen often but when it does it's very memorable.

Okay my hamstring hurt so bad this weekend I didn't do mad work like I said I would. I wanted to be able to work out today which I did:
mon: 35 min arc trainer, 10 min interval shuffle/pushups/situps, 10 min jump rope. Didn't go to tkd b/c didn't want to push my luck and I went the last 2 mondays (conditioning) and I get sick of the same old same old format when i KNOW my teacher can mix it up and make it a lot more fun. ( i think he's just scared of me missing during pad work with my lethal kicks and heavy hands)
tue: 25 min walk (like I was late for something, that gay looking walk) 5 min jump rope, 15 min bike (Ran about 1/2 mile when the side of my left calf started to hurt like hell. I tried to run through it but it just got worse). tkd was all self defense against a weapon AGAIN and not much cardio.
wed: In an attempt to stave off insanity from not being able to run due to a weird mutant shin splint at the side of my calf, 40 min on arc trainer, 10 min bike, tkd was forms so if you do them like you mean them, which I do, you'll sweat, but not so much that you stank or need a shower.
thur: didn't work out, had to do obedient cook/maid stuff after the kids got out of school and then they had their school open house, so didn't get to spar either
fri: arc trainer 35 min, bike 15 min. I have gotten some great recommendations about plyo and sprints for endurance and explosiveness sparring and i'm going to begin implementing them next week. now i have to go ice weird mutant side shin splint.

9-28: 25 min arc trainer, 15 min bike, shuffle/cut ring/bob n weave/ punch/elbow combinations 10 min. I punch a number of foam mats hung up on the wall, they're thin enough so that I can punch with force and condition my knuckles and little and thick enough so that I don't damage the wall, like I could do that anyway.
9-29: ran 1 mile till side of L calf started to hurt a lot, 20 min arc trainer, 15 min bike, did a bunch of abs and pushups cause my daughter was with me and didn't know any abs (after 7 yrs. of soccer and 3 yrs travel soccer wtf?) tkd was more abs, more pushups, pad work, kicking drills, chambering drills (where u chamber the kick, hold it out, chamber it back up, then put it down each interval lasting around 30 painful seconds) My younger daughter who goes to tkd with me did mad work and got the other yellow stripe taken off her orange belt, making her eligible to test for green belt in 6 weeks.
9-30: 30 min arc trainer, 15 min bike, tkd was forms (kata), including the dreaded hwarang hyung
10-01: didn't work out, having a lot of pain in left leg
10-02: 30 min arc trainer, 20 min bike
10-03:didn't work out I am starting to get seriously paranoid about my left ankle again although I haven't done anything I don't usually do since I got the green light for high-impact activities well over a year ago.
10-04: 30 min arc trainer, 20 min bikd, wore the heavier ankle brace over the neoprene one, still had to ice it down and take ibuprofen after, i'm still going to work out in the interim but i'm calling the orthopedic surgeon who did my ankle surgery on Monday. I can do everything but jump rope and run, sparring I could probably do but I'd have to be careful of it.

10-05: didn't work out due to the craziest anemia type fatigue for months.
10-06: 40 min bike
10-07: 45 min bike
10-08: some self defense sparring but nothing that worked me much.
I can only do the bike and arc trainer till I see the dr. to figure out wtf is wrong with my ankle. uncool I'm going to have a breakdown from being unable to run.
10-09: bike, arc trainer
10-10: didn't work out

10-11, 10-12, 10-13: didn't work out, ankle hurting a lot, going to orthopedic surgeon on 23rd.
But that isn't going to stop the other mrs. cyborg from doing work.
10-14: bike 30 min, arc trainer 15 min.
10-15:bike 15 arc trainer 30 min. total. TKD was forms.
10-16:bike 15 min, arc trainer 35 min. mad TKD sparring with the head kick by me which I've mentioned in several spots on the forum already.
10-17: 45 min bike.
10-20: lifted, then tkd conditioning, pad work, jump rope (couldn't jump rope much.) pushups, situps, heavy bag, punched the makiwara pad a lot
10-21: arc trainer 30 min, bike 15 min, tkd is going to be boring one-steps but the poomsae might work me a little bit.
10-22: Poomsae last night made my arms and legs hurt a lot b/c I put a lot into it, you should hear the material of yr. gi snap if yr. doing it right. 10 min arc trainer, 20 min bike, tkd 3 3-min rounds of jump rope interspersed with more one-steps. lame. orthopedic surgeon says I just have some inflamed tendons, and to put heat on before I work out and ice after, and draw the alphabet with my big toe 2-3x a day, then I can get back to running. I am totally relieved b/c I was scared I had reinjured it.
thur: arc trainer 20 min, bike 20 min, later I am thai boxing which will hopefully compensate for only 40 min of cardio. lifted bi's and tri's but only bicep curls 3 sets 12/10/10 15 lb., assisted tricep dip 100 lbs, 3 sets 12 reps.

10-26: ran 1 mile, arc trainer 20 min, bike 20 min, jump rope intervals with stretching and calf raises, jump rope probably added up to not quite 10 min.
10-27: ran 1 mile, arc trainer 7 min, bike 20 min. tkd: pushups/situps (customary boring ass warmup) squat thrust/mountain climber/quickstep/pushups/jumping jack drills, kicking drills, punching drills with weights, 3 3-min rounds of jump rope, some pad work.
10-28: 15 min arc trainer, 20 min bike, tkd was a few plyo drills and one-steps. Today was a lame day for cardio as a result.
10-29: 2 hrs of tkd but it was just one-steps and then sticks. i learned a lot for testing on sat. but didn't get much cardio, i will have to hope I spar with ppl who are testing on sat. so i can have some semblance of a make up day.
10-30: arc trainer 30 min, ran 1/2 mile, bike 10 min. didn't go to sparring, it was weapons sparring and I just took sticks class last night.
took friday and saturday off.
11-2: ran 2.5 miles (praying the inflamed tendons are getting better) jump rope 5 min., some punching drills on mats hung up on the wall, no one was around so i put the mats on the floor and practiced rolls and falls for a little while, bike 10 min.

Mon 11-3: ran 1.5 miles, arc trainer 20 min, bike 15 min.
TKD was conditioning with the usual drills, pad work, bag work, pushups/situps/squat thrusts/mountain climber, jump rope etc. Monday TKD is now 2 hours instead of 1 1/2 so there was a lot of lifting with free weights also.
Tue 11-4: wind sprints 10 min, pad work 1/2 hour with 2 pushup/situp intervals. TKD was sweeping blocks so not a lot of cardio, but probably conditioned my forearms a lot b/c they're black and blue.
Wed: 30 min arc trainer, 15 min bike, tkd one-steps, not much cardio. I haven't gone yet so I could be wrong. Nope I was right TKD was a lot of boring punching and blocking drills and I don't see myself ever memorizing them perfectly like I"m supposed to.
Thur: gym: 15 min jump rope intervals, 15 min bike. TKD: pushups, situps, 5 3-minute rounds jump rope, 4 2-min rounds point sparring. (jump rope and sparring were alternating intervals).
Friday: took my 10-yr-old to the gym with me, where we did pad work, jumped rope, and rode the bike. I didn't get much of a workout but she had fun. I consider today a rest day as a result.
Saturday: my daughter went to the gym with me again. She did better this time and I got about 45 minutes of cardio (arc trainer, bike, jump rope) in along with some pad work with her, but i can't really hit the pads when she's holding them b/c she's little. She just likes to take turns holding the pads.
