Isnt it hard to do so many sets of squats? I mean Iam doing 2 heavy squats sets and more would be too much for me.
Are you doping?
- Probably.
- I prefer sumo stance, as opposed to conventional. I was born with more of an ass than most white males, so I like utilizing all the strength it has to offer. Not only that, but my thighs/hamstrings are pretty large for my weight class(es), so I factor all of those muscles into my squat. Oh yeah, my calves too! All in all, it's just easier on the knees.
- No. I'm used to it. Before I took up power lifting, I was all about circuit training. So, multiple sets have never been a problem for me. As you may note though, the reps on each set decrease as the weight heightens. You already know.

SO...I've been so swamped with work & non-stop baseball lately, that it's been rather difficult to fit a workout in! BUT, never fret! Your boy was doin' work earlier today...so let's get inta'it:

----------

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

(Went for a 25 min. jog around my area before driving to POWERHOUSE)

Squats
10 x 135 (stretch)
10 x 185
8 x 225
5 x 275 (w/ 50 lbs. of chain weight)
5 x 315 ""
3 x 365 ""
DONE.

PS 300A Squat Machine
10 x 225
10 x 315
10 x 365
10 x 405

Hamtractor + Leg Extensions (Super-Set)
12 x 225 / 10 x 100
12 x 240 / 10 x 110
12 x 255 / 10 x 120
12 x 270 / 10 x 130

Standing Calf Raise Machine
20 x 315
20 x 365
20 x 405
20 x 465
15 x 500

Hip Abductions
12 x 60 lbs.
12 x 65 lbs.
12 x 70 lbs.
12 x 75 lbs.
12 x 80 lbs.

Nebula Abdominal Extensions
25 w/ 45 lb. plate
25 w/ ""
25 w/ ""
25 w/ ""
25 w/ ""
25 w/ ""
25 w/ ""
25 w/ ""

Back Extensions
10 w/ 25 lb. plate
10 ""
10 ""
10 ""
10 ""

Body-Weight: 184.4 - Been kinda hovering there for a while. I'm eating my normal lean diet, with all my supps and shit included. Once baseball wraps up for the summer, then I'll really hit it hard again & try to gain 5-10 pounds of lean muscle. Walk around @ about 185-190, then cut to 181 for competitions. Sounds like a f-ckin' plan.

----------

You know...I felt AWESOME today. I think it's because I've been so busy with baseball as of late, kinda gave the old muscles a bit of time to just recoop to 100%, and re-energize basically. I look to carry this renewed sense of absolutely no muscle fatigue into my next 3-4 workouts (which will be INTENSE).

Did ya miss me?!?

HAHA....I know.

Hope this post finds everyone well, and thanks for taking time to check out the kid's T.L.! I greatly appreciate it.

GAME. player.

It's just like a hyper extension, essentially.

Exactly.

I just label it as such, cause it helps me to separate the machines, instead of just labeling by movement, cause my gym has to many variations of the same basic muscle exercise.

alright players,

Just got back home from Chicago (Regionals) yesterday at about noon. Obviously didn't get any workouts in the past few days (leading up to the trip, or during).....just been to busy catching back up at work @ sooooo many baseball games. It's been hard to get into POWERHOUSE.

Anyhow, enough of that. Got back into it today, and did something a little different.

Bicep Curl Machine

25 (front) x 225 (holding each rep @ the top, 5 seconds)

Dips (The REAL ones, not the machine bullshit)
15 x body weight
15 x ""
10 x "" + belt w/ 45 lb. plate
10 x ""

Back Extensions (Lower back's been sore lately...)
10 w/ 45 lb. plate
10 ""
10 ""
10 ""

Body Weight: 185.7 - Still pretty consistent. My diet hasn't strayed much, especially with going to Chicago. I took some of those pre-made Muscle Milks with me, so that helped a lot. Plus, ALL that running during the tourney probably canceled out whatever I may have gained unwarranted weight from.

----------

Felt good after a lengthy layoff, but some parts of my body were still aching a bit. That's alright...gotta work that shit out. Try and get back into my normal routine here pretty soon....

If you read this post, I hope it finds you and yours well! Hope you guys are doing good outside of the forum.

'ppreciate your time.

GAME.
