Joined the mma gym finally! Class was a warmup, then butterfly sweep drills, then mount escape -> hip bump sweep drills, then back escape. Then we rolled. I got ******* destroyed by a guy smaller than me. Blue belt. Very skilled guy ankle locked me, armbarred me twice, and there was something else I can't remember. I don't remember why I do this shit. Just kidding, going to take my beats for awhile, this gym makes my daintly new purple belt feel like an embarassment but they'll sharpen me up if I stick with it.

2 rounds skipping 2 rounds shadowboxing 2 rounds each pads then sparring. Got to spar with a guy my size but fights pro with a great record. He cleaned my clock of course but I got two great rounds in and another day under the belt. Lots of work to do.

Oh, P.S. Watch TUF Nations! I haven't seen it yet but apparently Kajan's already shining. Feels good seeing him get what he's worked for.

Technique was some standing guard passes, variations based around turning your knee in to pivot your shin around their leg. In rolling I got dummied by two of their fighters, got submitted probably 6 times between them. Friendly guys though, I'm just going to get beat up for awhile, haha. The one was trying to get me to change my pressure from side control, staying more sprawled out and worrying less about blocking their hip with my knee. Definitely something to look into because he felt like 1000lbs during rolling.
