Here's the last month or so's progression on the burpees since I've started counting. Still not satisfied but I've been going with maximum effort since the start and still seeing a steady improvement.
Week ---1--2--3--4--5
Round 1 26 28 28 29 30
Round 2 20 22 23 24 24
Round 3 20 21 22 22 23
Round 4 18 19 20 21 23
Round 5 19 19 20 21 20
Total -- 103 109 113 117 120

BJJ. Felt like garbage, something's hurting in my sides. Turns out your organs don't like to be crushed everyday. I don't want to talk about it. Will adjust the training accordingly.

No sparring at the pro gym today until my sides recuperate. Probably for the best because I'm still getting headaches from last week. Gogo gadget brain damage.
Conditioning
Barbell Complex (70lbs, 6 sets, 6 reps)
Good Morning
Overhead Squat
Deadlift
Bent Over Row
Reverse Grip Curl
Military Press
Skullcrusher
I haven't done this workout in a month. Did 6,6,6,6,6,6....Finally after 2 or 3 attempts I managed to break past 70lbs.
Ab Circuit
Twisting Crunch 20,20 @45lbs
Reverse Crunch 15,15 @20lbs
Cable Crunch 20,20 @65kg
Ab Plank 1:45,1:45
Same weights with another 10 secs tacked onto the ab plank. Good ass workout, I'm on top of the world.

Ok so you mean you hold a traditional plank for 1:45? nice. a good goal for me.
An MMA gym has opened in my town so I'm going to see if the owner ( a LW who trained at the KO Factory in Salamanca NY among many amateur bouts) will train soccer mommies who like to hurt people. (Is that bad?)

A traditional plank. Mind you I do it at the end of my ab circuit too. No rest besides the couple seconds it takes to get set up for the next exercise. Good luck, it's hell.
That's awesome. I'll pop in on your journal from time to time to see how that goes.

Birthday burpees. A poor showing by me today, I haven't slept well these past two days so today's lack of progress is a write off. BJJ tonight.

MMA Class
Got a nice 10 hour sleep and I felt way more refreshed. Warm up run, lots of tumbling and shit. Technique was guard passes. Kajan likes to do guard breaks from a stand and then pass. Drilled a few techniques as well as counters for the guy being passed. Drilled the guard passes for awhile. I didn't do particularily well and got frustrated. Then we did a few rounds of straight up rolling. I had 2 rounds with a blue belt, both times I dominated. Mostly going into my guard, then kimura sweeping into mount and then fighting for a sub there or taking his back. Also dominated another dude. Mwahaha. Total subs for the day is an americana, arm triangle, rear naked choke. Almost got a triangle. Done and done.
My sides still have a dull pain when they're squeezed. I'm going to stop taking creatine and beta alanine for the time being and see what that does. I might be stressing out my liver or whatever with all these supps. So we'll see if it helps. My knee is hinting at pain. Tomorrow is a judgement call for heavy sparring but most definitely training either way...I can get alot done with my training partner.
I'm very close to getting an opponent. We'll see.

I slacked on Wednesday. No real excuse for this, just being a lazy cocksucker.
Today was Muay Thai/MMA. Warm up with shadowboxing, rounds on the heavybag, drilled combos with emphasis on defensive skills. Lots of parry/block/catch and counter. Did a conditioning drill at the end pushing your partner across the gym while he resists then kicking and so on for 5 mins.
MMA warmed up with a couple guard passes, practiced some new ones, had a crash course in toe locks, knee bars, heel hooks, etc. We were careful the whole time but my knee feels kind of sketchy right now. I think it'll be fine. Muay Thai + MMA tomorrow.
