No sparring, my trainer had my boxing gloves and wasn't going to be there. Lame excuse.

Muay Thai
Skipping, shadowboxing. Technique was combos off the side step. Sparring, got a round with Kajan.

MMA
Technique was a half guard pass and half guard sweep. Did average in rolling, got another round with Kajan. I felt pretty crappy today, everything just felt really tense and brittle and I was really low energy after the sparring.

Ladies Kickboxing
Did the 20 minute circuit with them and then ab circuit.

I keep draining my ear once a week but it keeps filling up, I'll get it done tomorrow again. BJJ tonight.

Muay Thai

Skipping, shadowboxing, 4 rounds sparring, drilling a few kicking combos, 5 or so rounds on the bag. I rarely get to hit things so much. I hurt my left ankle/shin on a weird kick but it feels okay now. Good class.

Missed class yesterday, not good. Tomorrow the gym is closed so I'll either lift, hit the bag, or take the day off.

Lifting
Squats 6,6,6 @ 255lbs
Deadlifts 6,6,6 @ 265lbs
DB Bench 6,5,3 @ 90lbs
Weighted Chin Ups 6,6,5 @ b/w+25lbs

AB Complex
Weighted Twist Crunch 20@45lbs
Decline Reverse Crunch 15@b/w
Cable Crunch 20@75kgs
AB Plank 2:05

Heavybag 3x3:00 rounds
Jabs, 1-2's, 1-2-3's.

Stopped 2 rounds short of last week's 5, felt exhausted and I'm pretty convinced that I've got a little fracture in my left shin so I'm not kicking today.

Added to DB Bench, don't think I've done sets of 90 before, and it showed with some early failure. Good day but I felt exhausted halfway into the workout. I feel nauseous at random times and often I'll get real dizzy when pushing myself. I also feel real tired and spaced out all the time except during and right after a workout. I'm in week 3 of the drug I'm trying out and things should start coming into effect very shortly, hopefully I cN train more/harder.

Got my ear drained again but it keeps filling up, looks like it'll be a weekly routine, the doctor wouldn't give me any large syringes to do it myself, and the pharmacies only carry insulin syringes that are too thin to be effective.

I got an opponenet. No name, but he's from Prince George where I'll be fighting.

A couple guys from my gym are fighting tonight in Vernon, wish I could see Kamryn and Darwin's fight, but I can't justify the expense right now.

My training partner returns from his couple months at tiger muay thai in Phuket. He's been training his striking hard so he'll be in awesome shape now and able to push me. We're already formulating how we're taking our training to the next level once he gets back to it next week, should be good.

Weight's at 215lbs.

Burpees (5x3 minute rounds, 1 min rest)
1 - 35
2 - 28
3 - 26
4 - 24
5 - 24
Total - 137

Went on a tear and got 5 more than last week, lovely. My training partner is back from thailand and looking lean and mean. Held pads before class for him and he tore them up. Hes 6`5 and going to middleweight.

BJJ drilled armbars from guard, bump sweep and reguard, knee on belly to armbar and the escape. Did alright in guard passes. In advanced we spent like 45 minutes going over rules and after sitting around that long my body just seemed to shut down and I wasnt going to risk an injury for some rolling.

I have to work tomorrow so no sparring, muay thai and mma tomrrow evening.

Today I felt awful, tired but couldn't nap after work, hungry but couldn't eat without feeling nauseous. Mostly went away once I got training, thank god.

Muay Thai

Skipping, shadowboxing, sparring, kick drills. Did okay in sparring, training partner is definitely faster, more technical, and has better endurance than me now. It's for the best. The back of my lower left shin is still hurt but it's bearable so long as I don't get any weird connections on it.

MMA

Guard pass and pound, upkick - axe kick - sickle sweep, technique was pounding from top of half guard and sweeping from the bottom with a half butterfly. Not going over it today, I don't think it's going to be effective for me. We rolled starting from half guard and then rolled straight up. I won my rolls except for Kajans at the end. Today I reached the point that I imagine every fighter fears - I mentally gave up. Fatigue makes cowards out of all of us and I tapped to a rear naked choke and a guillotine that I could have resisted better. I finished Kajan with an armbar from back and ground and pound from mount but you can tell he gave it to me to boost my self esteem. I'm kind of beating myself up about mentally caving today but in proper perspective, that point of quitting is what I should be actively seeking out more often so that I can extend it further and further. Baby steps.

Ladies kickboxing tomorrow 6am then BJJ that night. Might go in early with training partner to work some shit. Kajan's coming out early on thursday to work with the 4 of us amateur fighters more one on one so this is my reminder to get in at 3:00 on thursday.

Well I couldn`t get back to sleep oddly, but I felt alright.

Went in early to do pad work with training partner. 3 rounds boxing and 3 rounds muay thai. Goddamn he`s sharp now, it`s good because he has lots of pointers for my slop. Taught me how to keep better balance when doing consecutive kicks, improved my lead push kick, my sloppy lead hook, etc. Despite these few changes I did really well in the pad work and my striking endurance seemed to pull through. Make no mistake about it though, it took alot of effort.

Then did BJJ. Guard passes without hands, turtling as they pass your guard, taking back from turtle. In advanced we shark tanked the guys going in the next tournament. That meant me. I did awesome from the bottom and my endurance was solid the whole time. Pendulum sweep was killing em! Then we rolled like 5-6 rounds and I did great. Once again just killing people with the pendulum sweep and dominant positions. Lost to a purple belt in a close match and had a very uneventful roll in my last round. Regardless, great training today, and feel ******* good.

Two sessions tomorrow evening with Kajan.

Fack, got called into work this morning so I'm under slept, good thing I always used to be under slept and can live with it.

Private with Kajan

Extensive warm up with a bunch of acrobatics that gassed me hard, I'm too big for this shit. Shadowboxing with lots of takedowns and sprawls. Consecutive sprawls. Alternated hitting the pads and the bag. I felt like a big bag of dicks today and was quite clearly gassed, but pressed on anyways. I'm a little disappointed that Kajan has only seen me on my shitty days this week. Anywho, I feel my body telling me to take a rest so I won't be heading back in an hour for the public class. Going to go get my ear drained again as it's getting huge, and hopefully get an early start on sleep. My mental state feels a bit ****ed right now, super spaced out mixed in with feeling good.

Tomorrow I got tickets to the event that I was supposed to be fighting at ago but we decided against it because of it's retarded structure. So I'll go in 6:00 tomorrow morning to work some shit with the training partner and rest that evening.

Good lift day =)

Heavybag
1 - 1's
2 - 1-2's
3- Push kicks
4- 1-2-3s
5- 2-3-2 + punch out drill

Leg still sucks to kick with, give it a little bit longer then I'll start working the kicks.

I watched the fights for the silly tournament mma. God some of those fighters were awful. Me and my training partner would have likely cleaned out the lightheavyweight and middleweight divisions respectively and had two cheap plastic belts today. It was actually painful to watch.

Makes me feel ******* good about my fight though. I'm on pace to kill this poor mother****er. Good week!
