Burpees (5x3 minute rounds, 1 min rest)
1 - 34
2 - 28
3 - 23
4 - 23
5 - 21
Total - 129
Weaker performance on burpees. Could be alot of reasons but I'm not sweating it.
BJJ
Armbars, Guard passes. Advanced technique was a collar choke, collar choke with your leg over to finish, collar choke to armbar, collar choke to reverse triangle, collar choke to reverse triangle to regular triangle. I'm going to try to work these combos a bit because my collar choke game is WEAK. Things I've noted today is my grip needs to be fingers inside and thumb outside, I've been doing the opposite. Also can't emphasize enough the need to dig the blade of your wrist in and keep that grip. The grip will make it or break it, which should be obvious I guess.
In rolling I did well but it was all white belts. Got a triangle from mount, armbar from mounted triangle, kimura from reverse mount, armbar from reverse mount. I also pulled off a nice pendulum sweep and a half guard sweep from the bottom that was actually technical and not just using my strength. I got tapped by a white belt today. Kimura from the bottom of my side control. How the hell did that happen? It was on fast and I tapped instead of struggling to stall it until I could free it.
Good class, sparring tomorrow afternoon then muay thai + mma in the evening.

Sparring with da pros
Did well against Bill, good exchanges and keeping him at a distance, breaking his clinches fast. Kajan was another story and he kept feeding me lead hooks until I started keeping my stupid hand up. In MMA sparring I did decently, I spent alot of time on top of Bill against the cage but wasn't pounding actively enough. He showed me some stuff involving pushing the guys face and using the other hand to strike, then kneeing to the body/armpit. I spent alot of time in my guard with Darwin pounding, but I finished a round on his back, and also tapped him with a Kimura from guard and rear naked choke. Good sparring. I got cracked really good once and have some sweet facial bruising.
Muay Thai + MMA tonight.

Muay Thai
Skipping, shadowboxing, heavy bag, some technique involving push kicks then slipping punches and countering. Clinch fighting.
MMA
armbar from guard. A stand up from guard- control wrists, pop hips up driving the wrists towards their stomach, bring legs around to their chest, drive with legs and stand up. Also did some hook and sickle sweeps after upkicks. Got my first taste of de la riva guard. No rolling, rest.
Hitting the pads before class then BJJ tomorrow.

Went in early for pad work
3 rounds boxing, 3 rounds muay thai. Did decent. Still some sloppy errors and my endurance could be better. It'll do.
BJJ
Hook and sickle sweeps. Armbar from mount except you fall forwards instead of backwards - I like. Bow and arrow choke from mount. Did well in rolling, did some gi and no gi and had some very good positional battles with two purples and a blue. Got a hook sweep, triangle, armbar.
Good day. I felt like shit after work but I got a nap in and once I got going it was manageable.
My Cauliflower ear is at its hugest. Wow. Must drain soon.
Private with Kajan tomorrow.

Private. Enough plyometrics to make your head spin. MMA sparring. Ground and pound heavybag. Takedowns from the double underhook and defense. God this was a rough class. I got hooked right in the ******* cauliflower ear. I'm getting it drained tonight...it's too bad I don't have a camera. It's definitely a -1 to my regular good looks.
Also taking an ice bath because everything ******* aches. These things are awful.
Going to hit pads tomorrow after work. Hoping to do 10 rounds.

So he said he took 3 teaspoons of blood from my ear...not including what oozed out. Lovely. It was like the size of my thumb from the second knuckle up.
I'm just posting to put up my event's poster. My name/picture isn't on there though.

Not yet...people are throwing some names out there but there isn't one sticking to me yet.
Thanks!

3 Rounds boxing, 1 round punchout, 3 rounds muay thai, 3 rounds boxing w/ takedowns and sprawls. Against all odds I had lots of energy and willpower and did very well. I think for the first time I believe in my double leg takedown. Also practiced a fake shot with a big straight left that is going to fool people. Good shit.
1 more week of hard training, 2 weeks to my fight. I get my physical done tomorrow.
