Btw great work. Im reading your log for a long time.
Thanks man! Yeah, I just found it last night. I've used diet tracker's before but this one is super easy and has some really obscure food items in it. http://www.livestrong.com/myplate/

Striking

Skipping, combos with partners. Worked on refining the basics. Just step + jab first. Then step jab + slide back foot as you drop into the the 2. Then 1-2-3 with that foot work, then 1-2-3 stepping back with the hook, leg kick. I'm going to do a BIG shift in my focus after this tournament, it's time to get some striking skills back before I have to spar.

MMA
Guard pass drills for most of class, take down defense techniques...sprawling and taking the far underhook, using free hand to pick a leg. Plan b is to gable grip their torso, keeping their head pinned with the elbow and sitting on your butt, scooting out opposite their head, then sprawling out.

Hurt my shoulder a bit drilling wrestling. Will probably thursday/friday off to rest for the tournament.

Been a couple days. Rested for the tournament and then competed saturday and sunday. Went 5-2 over the weekend, third in my division in the gi, first in the no gi (there was only two of us). I had to go to work that evening so I couldn't do the gi absolute, but entered the no gi one and believe I would be tied for fourth overall. So the tournament went alright. I feel like I could have done better and there's one or two matches that I'm sure I underperformed on. Oh well. I'll get some video up if I get my hands on it. There's a tournament going on next friday that I might go for. Don't know yet, since I usually work friday evenings.

MMA gym is closed tomorrow for canadian thanksgiving, but I think I might still be able to get in the weights gym, and I do have keys to the mma gym, so I'll definitely get something done tomorrow. Need to finish the week 2 of my conditioning program over this next week. Also going to actively increase the focus on getting my striking going again.

Ran into Kajan yesterday who just finished a week training at Xtreme Couture in Vegas. He told me he thinks its best we go to Langley and stick with Revolution, because Raw in Vancouver isn't going to have enough good training partners for us. Kind of a bummer, was looking forward to getting to the city and sticking with Kajan, but Revolution in Langley still has alot to offer. So we'll probably head to Langley this wednesday to look at places and get our jobs lined up.

I couldn't figure out at the time why he seemed impossible to stack! It wasn't until I saw this picture that I saw why I was having difficulties.

Striking/MMA

Skipping, drilled combos 1-2-pivot on the 3-kick, shots on the kick shield across the gym, practiced mount escape to heel hook, and getting open guard swept to a heel hook.

BJJ

God I felt exhausted today! I overslept big time until 1:30pm today and sat around watching shows. Today was my only day off this week and the addition of a girl in my life has put a strain on the sleeping. Social lives and jobs are not conducive to training Tomorrow I have to work the evening so I'll wake up at a reasonable time, finish the Week 2 of my workouts, and get some time in on the bag.

I can't tell from the picture, because I'm fairly new to grappling. Could you please elaborate?

Typically in an armbar he would have both of his legs over me. One on my head and the other under my armpit and across my upper back. He has one on my head, and then the other is weaved under my throat. Typically the last ditch effort for escaping an armbar from guard is to stack them up on their neck, make it really uncomfortable, then start shaking the arm free...but with the leg under my throat, he could use his leg to help resist the stack, and even make it more uncomfortable for me because the more I would put pressure down on him, the harder I'd get a foot pushed into my throat.
